Nilo was awesome, thank you thank you thank you for my haircut! I went in with my thick wavy hair down to my shoulders, I asked for a short cut (and provided photos). Nilo talked me through what she was going to do and checked with me along the way to make sure I was happy with the lengths and cuts.
I moved to the area almost a year ago, tried three different salons, and I finally found the hair stylist I'll be returning to. Evoke is my go to spot! Best best best brows EVER with Nilou, and her blow outs are unbelievable too! She does the best round brush styling and my hair stays nicely for days afterwards!

I was looking for a hair salon to get a hair cut. I was just browsing for good places with 4.5 stars or more & pretty much all the ones I would call were booked. I got lucky with this place that took me in short notice. I had the best experience ever, great service. I got a shampoo wash and a hair trim. I was nervous because it was my first time & also didn't know the hairstylist, but she made me feel comfortable and confident. Her name is Gisele, thanks so much for your service! Look forward to coming again for a trim or to get a touch up on my hair color.:)

Evoke is a nice salon - they get the job done, and are cost effective. Not too much pomp, but that's okay, I'll take a wonderful haircut over a fancy lounge area run over by stylists that sell me hair treatments I don't understand(yes I mean Juut in Palo Alto :p)
I particularly love working with Niloo, a really sweet and wonderful hair stylist.
At about 70 $ for women with medium to long hair, their haircuts are on the tail end of affordable, and it's as good as a haircut from a high end place, which is the big selling point of this salon.
They don't do your nails

This was my second visit to Evoke and Cady was my hairstylist. I came in for partial highlights - I had gotten highlights done for the first time with Candy as well and really liked the combination she chose for me!
For the partial highlights, it was a bit lighter than expected but I am liking the color so far! It will take me a while to get used to, but I'm optimistic till now!
Cady was very friendly and did a good job on haircut as well!

I used to get haircuts at Evoke beauty salon and liked their service. I also got deep conditioning treatment which was good. All through my visits the hair stylists at salon kept promoting brazilian blow out and asked me to get it. I clearly told them I have curly hair and I don't want my curls to be spoiled. After constant promotions by them I decided to get brazilian blowout treatment after asking multiple times I don't want to loose my curls where the stylists promised Curl pattern will not be lost, only frizz is reduced. I stopped by Evoke after a year of not getting a haircut owing to the pandemic . Niloo was thorough, we talked through the entire cut and she was extremely methodical . I have been waiting to see how I liked the cut and it's held up very well after multiple weeks . Full marks for her skill and attitude .

I would actually give 0 stars. I didn't want to give bad review because Cady was friendly but the service provided for the amount charged was not good.
THEY LEFT Hair COLOR ON MY EYEBROWS.
1) I was charged $400 for highlights/blowdry and deep conditioning.
2) I asked to cover grey hair, they are not covered .
3) Their website say $50 for deep conditioning, I was charged $80
4) their website say $50 for blowout , I was charged $100

So we are on vacation from LA and we come across Evoke Salon in downtown Sunnyvale. My wife decides it is time to do a do over on her hair and treat herself. I must say I am glad she did that because they did an AMAZING job on her. Her hairdresser's name is Niloo and she was so good that I decided to get a new haircut as well. My God, after Niloo was finished with the both of us we decided we want her to do all of our haircuts from now on. That was a year ago. So now every time we want to get a haircut and my wife wants to get a highlight or any other service we make a weekend out of it and

I waited for a few days after getting my haircut to let it settle and really see what I felt about it, and I must say I haven't had a haircut this well done and precise in any memory I've had going to salons. The hairdresser was very nice, very easy to communicate with, and provided wonderful service. they even offered to wash my hair after my haircut, which I never been offered before, and I absolutely plan to go back for my next cut when it's needed.

I called the salon this past sunday to get a balayage done, and they had an availability with Cardy. They said I could have a free consultation and then decide what to do. I showed Cardy a pic of what I wanted and she said she was able to do it.
The salon itself is lovely, and they take safety precautions for covid.
Anyway, back to my hair. After Cardy colored and toned it, I found it too blonde/light

I'd give this place 3.5 stars - I got my haircut here for the first time. There were some things that could be improved on, but it was a pretty good experience. Here's what I thought:
Stylist: Cady was nice and seemed very confident in her hair styling skills (been in the business for 55 years). I think there was a lack in finesse since my shirt got wet during the hair wash. Instead of clipping my hair to cut other areas, it was flipped back and forth, so my hair was always in my face. Cady seems always proud of her work and took pictures after (of my hair and the lady before me).

Niloo from Evoke has magic hands. I came to her with too many colors in my hair and split damaged hair. She created miracles - Did a color correction with highlights ambre style and it looks fabulous.
She is super nice and professional, with lots of patience and a hard worker. I believe that being happy with your hair stylist as with other professionals is all about chemistry and I felt good chemistry with her right away as if I have been going there for years, not for the first time, felt very much at ease.
