We believe the future should be something to look forward to, at every age. This film was created to encourage and inspire the 42 million older adults in this country, and to help remind everyone that the hopes, dreams, and ambitions of those over 65 are not only alive and well; they are as vibrant and strong as ever.

Services
Institute on Aging (IOA) believes the future should be something to look forward to, at every age. We bring together pioneering experts, seasoned champions and hands-on caregivers to make growing older better for Bay Area seniors and their families. As the leading advocate for older adults and those who care for them, we offer a broad spectrum of services and support to help seniors maintain their independence as long as it is safe to do so.
There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age. Institute on Aging (IOA) CONNECT is your direct line to us and the starting point for help with your concerns about the needs of older adults and adults with disabilities.
Care managers at Institute on Aging develop and coordinate personalized care plans for each aging adult with which they work. Serving as advocates for health and independence, our care managers act as intermediaries between clients and their carefully matched care specialists, who have a bias toward preserving independence as long as possible.
Sometimes people end up in living situations that are less than ideal. This is especially true later in life, when it may become more difficult to afford the high cost of living coupled with expensive health care. It might be more difficult to live independently, but that does not mean that someone shouldn't.
Medicaid's Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver programs, including the HCBA Waiver, are authorized under Section 1915(c) of the Social Security Act; governed by Title 42, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); and administered by CMS. The HCBA Waiver provides care management services to persons at risk for nursing home or institutional placement.

This is the worst place to work, this company does not know how to treat their employees, as someone in personnel once told me "we blame everything on the caregivers".
Move on to a place where you are appreciated, because believe me this company as you peel back the layers of this onion. everyone will make you cry...
