Services
For over 10,000 years people have recognized the natural beauty of the small peninsula on the south side of Pomme de Terre Lake just three miles east of Elbow Lake. The peninsula was a natural shelter for the Chippewa Indians who lived in this region. The Pomme de Terre River was a natural boundary between Dakota Plains Indians and the Chippewa who preferred the wooded portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Along with our camping area, we offer a lodge and a cabin-both furnished-available for weekly rental from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Both units are located on Pomme de Terre Lake. Each unit is equipped with a dock for personal use right outside the front door. Pets are permitted only with proof of current vaccinations.

City owned, mostly a seasonal campground. Office not manned. Must call a number listed on door for service...if service is even available. For short term campers, they have about 8 grassy pull through sites on a very uneven mound. No sewer hook ups but the sites do have water and 30 amp service. A bit over priced for having no amenities and a nearby town with nothing to offer. Overall not bad for a couple of nights.

Beautiful campground run by super friendly people. You can't top the family friendly atmosphere here. The beach has a jumping mat for the kids, the playground is fun for all ages, the wood is reasonably priced, every one camping is so nice, the spots are beautiful, and the bathrooms are really clean. We will be back again and again.

Camp grounds were great. If you are looking for good fishing this is not the lake to go to. Beach tenting sites have large fire rings and plenty of space. The shower houses were kept clean even the porta potties were clean. Week day stay left on a Saturday. I would give it 5 stars but the fishing was lacking.

Tipsinah Mounds was awesome! We brought the whole family and stayed in "The Lodge." I highly recommend staying here, we had our own dock with some amazing views! The staff was incredibly kind when we rented the pontoon, we will definitely be coming back!

Decent campground and nicely located on the lake but in my opinion $25 for a spot without electricity, light and 10 min walking from the facilities is a little exaggerated... I mean sure, primitive camping is fine by me, but it really should be a lot cheaper plus there wasn’t even a view of the lake...
