I decided to become a physician when I was in high school, and was accepted into medical school when I was 17 years old as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University.

I graduated cum laude from Northwestern University (ranked 9th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in 2021) with a B.A. in Biological Sciences, and matriculated to Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine (ranked 18th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in 2021) as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education.During medical school, psychiatry stood out to me as an incredibly unique field in all of medicine.
Services
I provide a free 5-10 minute telephone consultation to all prospective patients to ask a few questions and to give you a chance to ask any questions you may have. I am considered an "out-of-network provider". If you would like to to apply for reimbursement from your insurance company, you would pay the full fee to me at the time of service, and I would provide you with a detailed invoice a.k.a.
For many people, meeting with a psychiatrist for the first time can be an anxiety-provoking situation. In the hopes of easing some of that anxiety, I will describe what new patients can expect. When you first contact me for an appointment, I will ask how you were referred to me, and try to get a sense of the difficulties that you are having.
In my practice, I have found that books and websites can be a powerful adjunct to psychotherapy and medication management. The following is a list of books and websites, sorted by topic, that my patients have found to be helpful. I have no financial interest in Amazon.com or any of the listed books.
