Star Ballroom Dance Studio was founded in Los Angeles 30 years ago. With 10,000 square feet of floor space, it is one of the largest dance studios in town, featuring dozens of teachers and performers from Europe, the Americas, and China. With more than 40 classes per week, there is a wide selection of classes to fit your schedule.
Classes range from beginning social dances to advanced level competition. There are Group and Private Lessons for children or adults, and even singing classes! Rest assured we have served over 10,000 students. You don't need to have a partner, and our experienced teachers will guide you in your journey, while make great to save you time and money as you step into Dance!

Services
The first step is to call or visit us to make sure the karaoke room is available on the time and day that you want. After that is settled, you will be charged based on the day you want to rent the karaoke room. Renting the room on a Saturday will cost $60 per hour. Renting the room on any other day will cost $50 per hour.
In addition to offering group classes, our space also allows dance teachers to provide private lessons for their clients. The teacher will charge their own fee to the client for the private lesson, but a separate fee (paid either by the teacher or client) must also be paid to the business for using the area.

A very large and professional dance school, consisting of international standard dance, tango dance, waltz dance, Korean dance, rock dance, Chinese dance, ballet, etc. The students have classes for adults and children, with teachers from Chinese and foreign teachers. . The venue is large and the teachers are very enthusiastic, and the children like it very much.

I was visiting Los Angeles, and my good ballroom dancer friend recommended a group class in international standard. The classes I attended were waltz and tango..I dropped by and I liked the atmosphere and also the teaching. People (owner was there) at the desk were very friendly, the level of teaching was excellent. I looked up other classes, there were other teachers that I know were high level competitive pros. I am impressed, and I will visit again next time!

This is very much a Chinese Dance Studio but people from all ethnicities will dance here and some of the better teachers in Los Angeles teach ballroom and Latin dancing. They also have a social dance program with dance parties almost every day. There is also a karaoke room that is sometimes rented for parties. I know they have karaoke a few times per week and it is Chinese karaoke of course. They have periodic showcases here too where everyone showcases their talent and it's usually a very fun activity to go watch or even participate.

I used to learn bally dance in Star Dance Studio for few years, but they don't have it anymore, so disappointed. I hope they will have bally dance class in the short future! Back then, they limit the size of the class, which is very good because the teacher could have more time to focus on each student! For now, I don't know how's their policy.
I like their studio, the place is very spacious and with high ceiling, so the air inside the studio is not stuffy at all, especially, dancing is kind of aerobic exercise which need a lot of air to breath! So the quality of air is very important

We have been with Star Dance Center for over a year now and really love it! The owner is really nice, as are all of the teachers. Prices are very reasonable. The overall atmosphere of the studio is wonderful, it's about the kids, learning & enjoying themselves with none of the drama I've seen in other studios. Come in & try a class!

Great studio with plenty of a easy parking. The floor is great and very large. Second private room for dancing as well. The staff was very nice when I went, it was my first time and they made my experience great. The teachers are also amazing, good technical skills group class. The bathroom are located outside the dance studio but still very close. There is room for upgrades but the important part is the dance floor and the quality of the teachers and lessons. I will go back. Conveniently located close to the 10 freeway

Great for international Latin & standard . classes are taught by international ballroom competitors $5.00 to dance & lessons from 10 to 12 $ teachers are great but the new management is mentally challenged just went to valentines party the ticket cost was $15 and they gave u $1.00 worth of food it was a joke if u want to dance its the place e To go but don't buy into any events they r a rip off

This dance studio needs "English speaking" staff answering their phones. A few months ago I attended a "hustle" class taught by Max, who is wonderful by the way, and called to see what class he was teaching. They hung up on me twice!!
Also, during the last 10 mins. of Max's 60. mins "hustle" class, the adjoining dance class, who share the dance floor with Max started playing their music so loud you could barely hear Max's instruction or the hustle music. Max takes it in stride but I feel it's very rude, unprofessional and totally unacceptable!

First, it is important to understand this is very much a Chinese ballroom dance studio, but all are welcome. There are both Chinese and Americans working there. If you are accustomed to something like Fred Astaire or Arthur Murray, you will find this studio is much different, but in some wonderful ways.
They have parties twice per day 7 days per week, and group lessons both in the mornings and evenings. The biggest party is on Saturday night, but other nights are good too. The slower afternoon parties are sort of like "practice sessions". It's cheap for all the parties (I believe

I think this place is not bad given how cheap the tix are and how spacious the venue is. You can actually move around on the dance floor without the fear of stepping or being stepped on. The music is a little old school, but you can always tell the manager what you'd like them to play and they are accommodating to your requests. There's also a Karaoke room separate from the dance studio which has really good rate for Karaoke.

I was looking around for a ballroom dance studio to take private lessons with my father and my fiance before my wedding so I came across Star Dance. Prior to my our lesson(s), I was really excited because Ms. Betty was both enthusiastic and accommodating. She even heavily insisted that I stop by a week or two before our class with a copy of my music so she could especially choreograph routines which she would teach us during our private classes. Everything sounded perfect.

The group classes here are top notch and affordable. The instructions and demonstrations are clear. If you don't want to change partners, they don't bother you about it.
I have also taken some private lessons here and was impressed with the quality of the instructors.
There is no pressure, no Arthur Murray hard sales, and plenty of practice time.
The only reason I didn't give them five full stars is that they don't play enough foxtrots during the dances.

The belly dancing class here is very effective-you really get a great workout. It's better to go in a group so it's a more enjoyable experience. The teacher is Korean and she sets the example by having such an amazingly toned body. She also gives fun and clear instructions.
The studio is huge and doesn't feel suffocating. There is a lot of room to move around in which I liked.
