About Us Report

Located in historic downtown Edwardsville, we are your hometown bakery. Our doors officially opened in July of 2011, by Tom and Dee Dannenberg. Lindsey and her two sons, Chase and Grant took over the bakery as the new owners in April of 2017. Lindsey has a degree in Corporate Communication, Business Administration and Management.

I went there for the first time today and got an original cheesecake and a couple of donuts. The donuts were good, but the cheesecake was amazing. It was probably the best I've ever had. I usually go to The Cheesecake Factory, but I will be coming here instead from now on!

We were in town for my son's little league tournament. He hit his first homerun, and my husband decided to surprise the team with cookies at the next game. The good folks at ALTH whipped up a quick batch of adorable treats that were DELICIOUS! These frosted sugar cookies were melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Would be a regular customer if I lived in the area!

On my way back from a doctors appointment today, I typed in food into my google maps and this was a recommended place. Im always up to try new things and I was glad I found this place. The woman who greeted me was so nice and didnt judge me as I added cheesecake after cheesecake and macarons aplenty to my order. They were delicious! Ill be come back.

Hole in the wall bakery that is very cheap and has delicious pastries. Not really any seating inside, and only a few homemade drink options however. I got a blueberry scone and an iced chai and both were delicious.

We've been coming to this bakery for years. They have some of the best donuts around! I absolutely love their cheesecake, it's my favorite. You can get it by the slice or pie.

We also tend to get their cookies to take with us to parties and such. My favorite is the peanut butter!!!!

I know they make decorated cookies as well for themed parties.

Oh the cream horn, I love you. The vanilla cream is soooo good, and the flaky horn, delicious! Macarons are varied and delicious. Please consider hosting a class perhaps?

One and done. Came here to try Macron and was disappointed. The pistachio was good and possibly fresh, dark chocolate was too sweet and lacked balance. The rest were old and shouldn't be sold. Especially the banana was way past its prime. At $2 each I expected a fluffy top and high end filling.

Everything here is great. The cookies are to die for, the chocolate dipped cheesecake bites are amazing too. Honestly you can't go wrong here!! It's all tasty and the staff is friendly! If you need a sweet tooth fix then this is your spot!

This is a quaint local bakery with delicious cookies, doughnuts and cheesecake. I try to restrain myself to a once a week visit, but their cookies call my name more regularly and it's only a few blocks from my work making my resistance futile.
We order a cheesecake every year for Thanksgiving. The cheesecake is light and not overly rich and comes in a variety of flavors. Had their cake and iced sugar cookies at a friend's bday party last week and would definitely order for a celebration--they almost look too good to eat.
Little Taste of Heaven is a neighborhood gem. They do a nice job

My coworkers and I have decided that we are going to do a bakery crawl every Wednesday. This week crawl for me at A Little Taste of Heaven. This place is right off of Main St in Edwardsville, IL. This is a grab and go place. Parking lot across the street. The bakery boasts chairs but only in their front window. The owners greet the customers and it is a quick grab and go. Today we tried the cookies, They had four different kinds in the case, and after I got my order and man walked in and asked for the cookies that they were famous for, just my luck they were coming out of the oven. We haven't been disappointed. Great pastries, doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes & even biscuits & gravy!! Everything we've had has been delicious. They make their own cheesecake & take orders for them as well. We always get their biscuits & gravy, chocolate chip cookies, Danish, apple fritter, gooey butter cake (if we get there in time) & a few doughnuts. Always delicious & always friendly. Nice little vintage feel to the store. Just a brief walk off Main Street.

I was finishing a bike ride in the area when I noticed this place across the street. I crossed and saw they were open till 1pm. I had maybe 3 minutes.

I dashed inside and it smelled like a bakery should. The display cases were slightly bare but what would one expect when walking in at closing time? A young man came out from the back to help me with my order. There was no rush, no panic to close RIGHT NOW. He took the time to explain what they had, what they were known for, and what he would recommend in order for me to be enticed to return.

I left with oreo truffles, cookies, cheesecake bites
