Lizzie is a self-taught baker with an Associates and Bachelor's degree in Business Management. She learned to bake at the age of 12. Her Aunt Marilyn owned The Pie Pantry in Belleville, IL from the 70 s to the late 80 s. Lizzie Bob's is a combination of her and her husband's names. Lizzie Bob's is a woman owned, family run business.
The business started in 2013 with selling a loaf of banana bread at a farmers market stand. Lizzie is known for her pies, jumbo cinnamon rolls, pecan sticky buns, scones, and custom cakes. Bob is the bread baker, making lots of varieties of homemade yeast breads. Every Wednesday is test kitchen day at the bakery.

Storing Your Cake: We highly recommend storing the cake in the original box in a draft free area away from heat, windows, any water source, and NEVER on top of a Refrigerator or Freezer. We do NOT recommend freezing or refrigerating the cake as the temperature change, humidity, and other foods in your fridge or freezer may change the texture and taste of the cake.

Pros: Great baked goods that vary daily, delivery available, frozen meals prepared with fresh ingredients by Bob. Lizzie and Bob are genuinely nice people. Customer service is wonderful.

Tips: raspberry lemonade scones are the bomb.com. Tart with just the right amount of sweetness. Frozen pizza dough makes a great pizza , pepperoni rolls are so good

So, I just made a trip to Lizzie Bob's for the second day in a row. The buckeye hearts are something I didn't know I was missing in my life. The creme horns are practically perfect in every way. Savory scones, cinnamon buns, blueberry buns, cake pops, I could go on. So grateful to have such phenomenal sweets so close to home. And Lizzie and Bob are really swell people, too. Patiently waiting for warmer days so I can try their homemade ice cream.

They have such good treats here. Super cute bakery. They are so friendly here. They remember us every time we walk in the door. We love coming here. We have bought several custom cakes, and they have all been very good. We have bought cookies, sandwiches, brownies, cakes and everything tastes great. We have even bought dog treats that our dog loved. Great place

I stopped by the Lizzie's Bobs bakery when they first opened up I ordered a Banana Cream pie I was extremely disappointed, the banana's didn't seem real kinda freeze dried the whip cream was super but the crust was so thick it was difficult to cut with a knife I ended up throwing the pie away if frustration. Two years later just a a few weeks ago I wanted a Banana Cream pie so I stopped in again and ordered the pie I specifically stated the crust to be thin and told her I had a hard time cutting the pie with a knife and could not eat the pie with the bottom crust.

This has been an expensive mess. I brought in a picture of a cake I wanted, she said she could do it but it would not be fondant like in the picture, and she said she could get silver pieces to add to it.
My cake looked nothing like the picture and there were no silver pieces--or even visible silver frosting. The cake I got was a small, poorly frosted, white blob (supposed to look like gray and silver marble) that I honestly would have been embarrassed to present to a customer. The frosting had a watery consistency and the cake slid all over the box as I was carrying it. The frosting totally

BUYER BEWARE!! I would give them zero stars if I could! I had them do my wedding dessert bar. Everything turned out ok. Expect for my HOT PINK cake and cupcakes. I was so disappointed. I am still disappointed. I paid a ton of money for them to mess my order up and not even take accountability for it. She basically blamed me saying that is what I asked for.. when my invoice clearly states the cake should be gold blush and champagne color. She refused to return any of my money, we didn't even save the cake for our anniversary because I didn't want to relive it again! They did offer

Awesome!!! Could not be happier with my experience. The owners are super nice and helpful. They went way above my expectations to make sure my wedding cake was perfect. Everyone at my wedding loved our cake! People even asked if it was real or a prop. Not only was it exactly what I asked for but it was also delicious. I would highly recommend Lizzie Bobs! I also had some of their cookies at my wedding and they were gone before we even started dinner. The cookies were definitely a hit!!

Bought a cupcake to taste (Seriously! No free samples with your prices?). Taste was okay. Made-from-scratch icing was great and not to sweet, but cupcake was dry. We've had better cakes from other bakeries, but this is better than a grocery store bakery. But for the price, I'd probably go to a grocery store. We ended up just getting a generic cake from Costco. Costco has limited designs, but can personalize their cakes, and the filing is delicious.

We bought 3 kinds of cookies. Chocolate chip. Oatmeal raisin and peanut butter. I was very un impressed. I would have been better off buying a tube of nestles cookie dough at the store. They really lack the brown sugar and butter. It was very bland. All 3 kinds of cookies. Same blandness. Very floury. The chocolate chips were not very good chocolate and not in every bite.
The sweetness of the raisin helped with the oatmeal raisin. The peanut butter was just as disappointing.

I paid $10.00 for a gooey butter cake. ( Had no idea it was that much since nothing was signed, but I thought I would give a small business a chance.) I am sorry to say it was the absolute worst gooey butter cake I have ever had. I was hoping for something better,but that experience sealed the deal for me.

Obviously, my eyes look open but they're really not. Lizzie Bobs bakery has been open since Nov/2016 and I can actually see this place from my apartment. Drive passed it everyday for the past 2 months and just realized it was there last night. So I made my way over today.
