Junipero Serra High School
Junipero Serra High School is located in Gardena, California. The school is operated by the Department of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The High School was founded by James Francis Cardinal McIntyre in 1950. The school, which was largely staffed by the Society of Mary, graduated its first class in 1953.

Religious of the Sacred Heart and Carondolet Sisters and archdiocesan priests have also helped to staff the school at various times in its history. The last Marianists left the school in 1994. The school has played a very important role in the life of the community, graduating over four thousand students.

Junipero Serra High School, an archdiocesan school for boys located in Gardena, California, was established by Cardinal McIntyre, Archbishop of Los Angeles, in 1950, and confided to the Society of Mary (Marianists), an international religious Congregation, comprised of priests and Brothers, noted for its excellent schools.

NOTE: Transfer students with "D" and/or "F" grades are required to academically recover credits in order to be considered for admissions and receive a Serra diploma upon successful completion of senior year.Students must complete academic credit recovery with a passing grade of "C" or better. We need 2 evaluations: Math teacher & English teacher.

It was Decent school it's an old school and needs lots of updates but overall you're there to learn to get your education. The football, track&field, basketball all needs major updating

It's sad how parents have to spend hundreds of dollars on textbooks. The school make enough money to provide textbooks.

I agree about the books. Their volunteer service is a rip off. If you require all parents to do so many hours have enough hours for them to do. Not put the same parents constantly. Thus causing you to pay the fee. A rip off!

College prep curriculum at all levels when I attended with General Mike Aguilar. The humility, pride, courage and fortitude instilled by Serra has long been the cornerstone of my life! Those fortunate enough to attend Serra shall reap a solid foundation to build one's life!

This review is not about the high school itself, but an after school activity held on campus. Tsk, Tsk, the activity is not accosting the high school aged boys either.

At the Band Room at Serra High at 6:30PM, there is a $5 Zumba class held Monday through Wednesday.

When I went, there was 10 people in the class, which was a nice size for me, the beginner. And you'd think dancing around for an hour wouldn't be a very good workout, but it was because I ached for three days.

If you're a bit out of shape, need to shed some weight and have taken any sort of dance classes before, you
