I am very excited for the future of our school and look forward to a successful academic year for all of our new and returning students. Lloyde High School is a California Model Continuation School geared towards credit recovery, meant to provide a small, alternative learning environment for the communities of Lawndale, Hawthorne, Lennox and the rest of our district.
Lloyde High School provides quality alternative educational programs and individualized services for every student to earn a high school diploma. Lloyde High School supports both academic and personal student growth in becoming responsible citizens and self-motivated learners. The Lloyde High School community is a safe and nurturing environment where students expand their academic skills, confidence, and independence.
There are monthly informational meetings held the last Wednesday of each month to help inform and involve parents on campus. There are also outside agencies that provide seminars and workshops on parenting issues and provide support to families. Please check our calendar HERE to see exact dates and times of the next event.
What is CARES? Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an approach to teaching and supporting positive behaviors and meeting the needs of ALL students. The focus of this program is to teach students proper behavior, acknowledge and reward students for consistent positive behavior, and intervene when behavior expectations are not met.
RTI is a process of systematic assistance for academic and behavioral challenges that is based on students' needs. Centinela Valley Union High School District considers Lloyde to be a Tier III intervention for the district as a whole. That said, within Lloyde, we also have three levels of interventions to ensure all students can be successful.

My only favorite continuation high school gave me unforgettable memories to cherish. I been here for 3 years, and chose to graduate at this high school instead of any other high schools in the south bay areas. I went to Hawthorne High at 2011 - 2012, and I was far behind. Once I came to Lloyde continuation, I became unstoppable and completed all my courses..the teachers here treat us all equal and acknowledged us. It's a small high school, and good teachers who helped me succeed and supported me at all times. The smaller the high school the more you focus on yourself with education and wisdom.
