It's important that we work together to identify the challenges you face while also looking at how your own perceptions and behaviors might be part of a larger picture contributing to your troubles.

Anxiety disorders are one of the most common mental health problems among adults. The stress of modern-day life can feel overwhelming. While some amount of stress is a common reaction to many situations, such as jobs and relationships, anxiety can become a problem when the stress and worry interferes with your ability to cope with day-to-day life.
It is not unusual to feel sad or discouraged at times. Sadness is a common reaction to disappointment. Clinical depression, however, is a more severe reaction to life's struggles and has a more significant impact on your ability to work, have healthy relationships or the function socially.

When you are feeling down because of a breakup, the loss of a job, or some other negative event in your life, you can recognize the cause of your sadness and imagine yourself eventually moving beyond it.With clinical depression, many people cannot see themselves recovering from their paralyzing sadness, but depression therapy may help.
Experiencing traumatic events causes many people to have difficulty adjusting and coping, but with time and good self-care, they often get better. Sometimes, however, the symptoms get worse, and can last for months or even years. If you have gone through a traumatic event, and feel like the memories from the event are impacting your day-to-day functioning, you may have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Trauma is an emotional response to an event that causes an overwhelming amount of stress. A traumatic event can be any stressful event such as, being the victim of a violent crime or sexual assault, experiencing the death of a close relative or friend, or being involved in an accident. In addition, trauma can arise from a recent stressful even or be the result an event that occurred years ago, such as childhood abuse.
