So what I love about this hotel is that it's on the beach when I mean it's on the beach you walk out the front door and you are on the beach. I don't need a car anything because you were right where you need to be you can walk from the hotel anywhere else. The only thing I would say is that's the hotel pictures it looks kind of old inside very vintage if that's your day that is the type of boutique hotel you want to go to are usually like a more upscale sleek look but for the location you are in the right place. Service was great and the bartender was extremely nice and

Beautiful historic hotel located on Ocean Drive in the middle of South Beach. Everything is adjacent to the hotel that you would want to see. The art district to the nightclubs to shopping to numerous eatery's. No need to rent a car. No need for Uber. City non motorized vehicles for rent also. The employees to hotel are accommodating and inviting!
Stay away from the restaurant however that rents space separately from hotel. They are not owned as one!
The Bellman Francisco was quick and delighted

Wonderful hotel right on the beach. The staff here, especially there front desk and bellhop are so nice and make us feel very welcomed. Our stay included breakfast from 9-11 to eat outside enjoying the beach air under umbrellas right in front. Their coffee is amazing! I recommend the ocean view room to open the window and see and hear the beach, music and street sounds. The room was perfectly clean and had a large mirror and excellent lighting in the bedroom and bathroom. The only con for some would be the bathroom is bit small is view the pics first. I absolutely love this place and would come

The hotel staff were amazing. We got in early from a 6am red eye flight. They held our bags and were so patient as we came back multiple times to pull items out. Normal check in is 3 pm but they called us at 1 after they cleared a room knowing we were exhausted. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was the room was very small and very basic. Customer service made all the difference.

Hotel is in a nice location and a 2 minute walk to the beach. staff was very nice and accommodating when we wanted to switch rooms and request anything sent up. they offer beach towels to take to the beach which is a plus.
now the cons. the rooms are very very small. we were four people in a double bed room and it was so cramped and crowded. bathroom so small too. the entire hotel is just small, even the elevator barely fit four people. requested housekeeping twice and they never came. on our last night, the fire alarm went off at 3am and we had to sit outside for over an hour. granted that wasn

Great location with waking distance to the beach. The hotel provides 2 beach chairs and 2 beach towels. We had a great view from our ocean front king bedroom. The downfall is the small bathroom that smells like urine and wet towels and the breakfast advertised, it's just protein bars, muffins, oatmeal and miscellaneous snacks.

So disappointed! Woke up first morning and a maid had walked in and closed the door. I was disturbed. After speaking to the front desk, they said it was a mistake and recommended that I keep my doors locked at all times . But I don't understand how it could be a mistake, considering they don't do room service because of Covid and you have to have a special request to even have room service . Secondly, I went back to sleep and woke up with lots of drilling and hammering outside my window. It happened again the next morning and this time, I could not go back to sleep. The

If you're looking for just location, i think this would be your spot. It's a boutique hotel in the Art Deco area, so the rooms are small.
Pros: the room was cool, and not hot, or humid feeling. The water pressure for shower and sink were good, even for an older hotel. The water got hot, quickly, which can be an issue even in newer hotels. They provided guests with chairs for the beach. LOCATION! There's a 3 minute walk to the beach, and you're right off of the main A1A roads. Super close to Muscle Beach, too and there's Citi Bikes right out by the beach. Super convenient

A really cool vintage boutique hotel to stay at. My friend booked this spot via Expedia and got a really good deal for three nights, especially being that it was super last second.
The hotel lobby itself is super fancy with their furnitures, decors, paintings, etc to show that Cuban influence. The room itself was interesting, as it was somewhat like a motel setup, where the entrance to our room was from an outdoor walkway. The room itself is 3 star quality. The bathroom was interesting with their glass door, so it's somewhat awkward when your friend is using the bathroom. I hope I do not

I felt thoroughly disappointed by my stay at the Beacon hotel. I've been to Miami Beach a few times now and walking along Ocean Avenue seeing this place and the other retro looking ones like it is a really neat feeling, and you always dream of staying in one of them.
Though the outside and even the lobby are pretty snazzy and like a nice, cool blast from the past, the reality of the stay is pretty subpar.
It is a boutique hotel, and I understand that means the rooms are smaller than your average hotel these days, but even with a group of 3 we felt pretty squished. Definitely something

Location, location and location is what any realtor would tell you is the reason any real estate property is valued. I would wake up n gazing out of my ocean front window to see festive Ocean Avenue n beautiful Lummus Park, such a spectacular beach view and for this, Beacon hotel rates a 5 stars for me but but there are many problems.
I was disappointed the brochures mentioned a mouth watering buffet breakfast so if they no longer had it, they should have updated it as this was one of the 2 reasons I booked here. They gave such a basic package breakfast I cannot eat, lame oat meal, muffin, apple

I paid $240 up front for a reservation in October that I unfortunately had to cancel on 8/17. While booking, I was supposed to be paying a deposit but was charged in full which wasn't a big deal. I had to cancel this reservation on 8/17 and still have not received a refund. I reached out to the hotel yesterday with no response. I wouldn't make a reservation here again after my experience.

So i came here in June right after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted but prior to the beaches being open. I had the best service and nicest rooms at this hotel. I planned to propose to my girlfriend and the hotel staff helped make it a very special weekend. The young man at the front desk let us check in early, gave us awesome recommendations. I highly recommend this location as it's in the middle of ocean drive and close to many popular attractions. Great hospitality we will come back!

We passed three days and four nights at the Beacon South Beach for New Years outing. We lost power on the first night of our stay! I didn't know the situation until about 5:30 am. We were without power for the entire day of New Years Eve, the power return about 5pm that afternoon. The management handled the situation very poorly. The communication about the outage and the plan of action was treated poorly. Our rooms (3) of them had a stink that would not go away. It was dank and slimy, like mildew. When we arrived at check-in the hotel smelled like it was soaked with bleach!!! The position

I have been here several times throughout the years... this is a good hotel to stay at if you want to be in Ocean Drive/South Beach. Majority of hotels on ocean drive are old school Art Deco buildings- some of them better than others- I've been here several times and had pretty good experiences.
Know that if you come to Ocean Drive on the weekend that you most likely will have a noisy environment regardless of the hotel. It is just noisy and crowded on Ocean Drive- people, music, traffic
Last several times I've come here- I stayed in two different king size Ocean view room. Room was
