Minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) is the latest technology available to perform spinal surgeries through small, less than one-inch-long incisions. It involves the use of special surgical instruments, devices and advanced imaging techniques to visualize and perform the surgery through such small incisions.
Vertebral compression fractures occur when the normal vertebral body of the spine is squeezed or compressed. The bone collapses when too much pressure is placed on the vertebrae, resulting in pain, limited mobility, loss of height and spinal deformity. Cervical disc replacement is a spine surgery to replace a degenerated (deteriorated) disc in the neck with an artificial disc.

Dr. Bilinghurst performed neck surgery for me back in 2019 and his knowledge and expertise in what he does is admirable. He completed my surgery with a least invasive technique and my recovery time was less than expected. I am now working with him due to chronic low back problems and having treatments first before the possibility of future surgery, if needed. I believe he is very trusting and a compassionate doctor. This along with his extent of knowledge in his field has kept me coming back to his practice even being over 2hrs away! Thank you Dr. Bilinghurst!!

It's been over a year now. Dr. Billinghurst performed spinal fusion on my wife at L4/L5 L5/S1. Immediately after surgery my wife was in excruciating pain. She spent 3 days in post op never being seen once by the surgeon. All visits were from the PA. The entire time my wife could not lift her leg without acute pain as well as having other complications. She was totally dismissed and was told it was normal postop pain. After being discharged to go home it was obvious something was wrong. I took her back to Dr. Billinghurst's office a week after the surgery and he knew right away something had indeed

Dr Billinghurst was very professional, thorough, & kind. He sat with me & talked through my entire experience with my pain & showed genuine concern for the seriousness of my case. He ordered for more testing & expressed his desire to get to the root of my problem/pain. Finally! A doctor who wants to help solve my problem rather than just put a bandaid over my situation. Very pleased with his office, staff, & consultation with me.

Dr. Billinghurst performed a disc replacement on my neck about 5 years ago. Within 1 week I was fully functional, and back to my normal high-energy life within 3 weeks. Years later today, I still can't believe how seamless his work was and grateful for having had him as my surgeon. His team was so helpful and figured out all the issues with my insurance coverage without me having to do anything. Anyone with spinal injury can stop looking further.

Dr. Billinghurst operated on my neck June 14. He did a fusion of the discs. I was having lots of pain and numbness down my arms.
Today I am pain free.
Dr. Billinghurst is very patient and easygoing. He doesn't push for surgery. He gives you options and let's you decide what to do.
My only complaint is as a severe asthmatic the nursing and X-ray tech should not wear purfum. I had an attack when I went for x-rays.
