I have been taking my Mercedes to Pete's for years. They have always done exceptional work and at those times when I was unable to schedule an appointment they have worked me in to get me up and running. Great people and shop to look after your German car. I was really hesitant about taking my 2008 328 convertible to an independent shop, but a friend highly recommended Pete's Inc. for BMWs, so I finally brought mine in.
The owner, Greg, has a couple of BMWs himself and really knows the cars! My car came out of the shop on time, running perfectly, and WELL under what the dealership would have charged me. I am a convert! I've been taking my Mercedes here ever since it went out of warranty and I had to start paying for repairs out of pocket (which thankfully have been few and far between).

This is my go to place for Service on my MBZ E-Class. Mario and his team do an excellent job and they are very flexible and easy to work with. They do a terrific job of communicating and have taken care of me numerous times. Mario is always customer first and provides high quality work at a fair price. They also don't try and push additional services or maintenance unless the vehicle truly needs it. I've always had a positive experience and will continue to come back.

This was a disressing interaction. Brought the car in at the appointed time for an AC fix. Mario at the front desk took my key and it was immediately questionable business practice of having me electronally sign BEFORE showing me the estimate. Since there is trust initially extended had him email the authorization. Only after I got home a few minutes later my wife noticed an oil change as part of the service. In no way did I authorize or (or need)was even made aware of this. I called back and was told it was good as they were just about to begin. When I went back there was no acknowledgement of

Mario is the quintessential customer service rep. Very knowledgeable, patient and non-judgmental. Lays out the pluses and minuses of optional repairs. I was especially happy when I simply mentioned I had this 3 year old dent that I wanted to get repaired with that paint less method and did he know somewhere to go. By the time he called me back a few hours later to tell me what mechanical repairs were needed the body work was done and it only cost $375!

The worst! They charged me 150.00 just to tell me there was something wrong with my EGR (which I had already told them because a computer diagnostic had already been done that said that). They had my car overnight so they could have it fixed by afternoon the next day. They allegedly ordered a bad part and had to order a new part so they kept my car another 24 hours. (My job requires a car for work.) They charged me the 150.00 plus over another 600.00 for the parts and labor. I got a "50.00" coupon which added up to very little after the high-priced diagnostic. And guess what?! A day later the check

I had them perform the "B" service and several other needed minor repairs. It was expensive since I waited although the car is in prime condition and I am pleased. KRKelly

Finally, a great dealer alternative .... I recently purchased a Mercedes '02 CL55 AMG that had been, figuratively speaking, in a time capsule for 17 years; the prior owner had driven the car 13K miles. After a couple of poor experiences with a local Mercedes dealership, I started searching for an independent repair shop that specializes in Mercedes. Quite by accident I found Pete's tucked away on Clay St in SF, and certainly glad I did. After a quick look inside their shop, I looked up their website and easily made a service appointment, received a confirming text, and a day or two before my appointment

I am so happy with Pete’s auto repair! I trusted them my with 1977 Mercedes Benz 450SL and they were able to diagnose and repair a number of weird quirks that had developed over time. Mario was extremely patient in answering all my questions and was very reliable in following up throughout the day. The garage is spotless, well maintained and by the looks of the other cars there, you feel you have come to the right place. Thank you!
