Since 2011, including this year, we have awarded $30,000 in scholarships to deserving member company employees or their children. Each year, we award one scholarship in memory of Tom Rando to an applicant who embodies the values and talents of Tom Rando, an entrepreneur, innovator and respected industry leader.
The 2021 Thomas Rando Scholarship recipient is Danny Rodriguez, whose father Albeiro, works for ScrubaDub in Woburn, MA. Danny will be entering his senior year at UMass Boston, graduating with a degree in Exercise Health Science. Upon graduation, he plans to take the physical therapy (PT) assistant exam and to enter a PT doctoral program.

The New England Car Wash Association (NECA), founded in 1973, is a not-for-profit trade association that provides networking and educational opportunities, business services and representation, to enhance the professionalism of the car washing industry in New England. We represent the industry in the states of MA, NH, VT, ME and RI.
The purpose of the Association shall be to advance and safeguard the business interests of the vehicle washing industry in general and its members in particular, to foster and promote more cordial relationships between ourselves, our employees and the motoring public. And to supplement the purposes of ICA in enhancing the position of the vehicle washing industry on the local level as well as the national level.
The name of this organization shall be the New England Car Wash Association (NECA), and shall hereby be referred to hereinafter as the "Association". The principal office of the Association shall be located either within or without New England area as the membership may designate or as the business of the Association may require from time to time.
The more involved you are, the more valuable your membership! All employees of NECA member companies are invited to participate and network with other industry professionals. We've opportunities that range from tiny tasks to task force coordinators. Let us know what interests you and we'll set you up.
Get to know your individual board members, they are here to support you the car washing professional by providing an invaluable source of knowledge and expertise. Note: Directors are elected to one-year terms, renewable for a total of three terms. At the end of three terms, they must either take time off from the Board or move into an officer's position.
