Westport Auction
Westport Auction has emerged as a staple in Fairfield County as a monthly estate sale auction featuring fine art, antiques, and decorative arts with a strong focus on Mid Century. With specialists knowledgeable in a wide berth of fields that span centuries, styles, and continents, we welcome consignments from any field with the confidence and expertise to connect the market to our consignors.

Westport Auction is owned and operated by Travis and Kate Worrell. In 2013 the couple moved the auction house to 615 Riverside Ave in Westport, CT and remained there until 2019. The Auction House is now located at 250 Westport Ave in Norwalk, CT. The move has allowed Travis and Kate to expand the business which now includes retail merchandise along with the auction merchandise.

Jessica from Westport Auction is a pill to interact with. Rude in all of her written communications. Continued to argue and point me to her non-working shipping info site, even though I troubleshooted on 3 different browsers and none worked. It's funny that the link to "rate my experience interacting with Westport Auctions" doesn't work! Probably overloaded with negative comments so she shut it down. I don't do business with people who act like this so it'll be the last time I bid on Westport Auction items.

It never fails to shock me how dishonest the folks are at this auction house. Firstly, they sold us a product that was covered in mold. It took relentless phone calls and working through much manipulation on their part in order to resolve this. Then, we discussed hosting a full house sale with them. They agreed we would have a date to do the sale, discussed options, came to inspect our items, then very close to the date of the necessary sale, let us know “they didn’t have the capacity or time in the calendar to do a sale”. The amount of dishonesty from this business is remarkable. I highly

They tried to sell a (possibly) fake RIZZI as an original. Rizzi is known for his 3d work. Westport tried to auction a 2d piece as a real James Rizzi. Westport deliberately misrepresented this piece with a material omission of the artwork in order to confuse in mislead the public. Yes they will claim that the buyer should have done more diligence. But EVERY OTHER SELLER on Live Auctioneers clearly label their Jame Rizzi as 2d artwork when they are 2d (which are worthless) as opposed to the 3d artwork which made James Rizzi famous. Beware of this seller. Upon contact with the seller, they tried

I’ve been attending auctions at Westport Auction for several years now and have been very happy with the way they operate. For one you can bid directly on their website as opposed to a third-party most of which have a $200 minimum bid. They have auctions almost every week and sometimes twice a week and to me it represents a passion for getting variety and quality out to the Public. I’m happy to give them a five star rating!

Westport Auction is the absolute best place for new and vintage classic furniture. They are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We have known them for years and can not recommend them more highly whether you are selling or bidding. We have done both.

I have always had the best experiences with Westport Auction. The items they offer for auction are exceptional, and because I cannot view the items in person, as I live out of state, I can confidently state that any item purchased online will exceed the descriptions & photos Westport Auction has provided. Additionally, Westport Auction will promptly respond to questions, and supply additional photos with more details of any item they're offering for auction. Westport Auction is certainly at the top of the list as far as auction galleries go. The staff will do their utmost to make the purchase and

I have bought and sold through Westport Auction. Although there are fees on both sides of the transactions (buyers take note - that fee came as a surprise to me the first time I bid and won at auction) I would say that the experience is a good one. All of the staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. Most importantly, the items are very well described and all defects and flaws are fully disclosed. Our pick up experience was very good. I would say that the process is easy and transparent - and if you are careful and diligent - you can get some exceptional deals.

Some good deals at times, but not worth the rude and unhelpful behavior nor the inflated descriptions. They have no understanding of how to maintain customer relationships. I'm amazed that people consign to them given their reputation among buyers.

Be very, very careful when buying from these people.
It would be polite to say that they are kinda' sloppy in the way they catalog their lots - and then combative when called out on it. I could also be less polite.
When an auctioneer identifies a maker of an object by name, without any qualifiers (e.g. "in the manner of" or "after"), they should be able to present a buyer with clear documentation of that lots authenticity - a makers mark, or a written provenance / purchase receipt from the previous owner.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Not reputable, mean employees, fake furniture advertised as authentic, (fake 1900's bureau was a 1950's reproduction, Dorothy Draper Espana dresser was a fake knockoff), very poor customer relations - this is the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever encountered with any business transaction. First time, they couldn't find my lot in their junky warehouse that is filthy, crowded and understaffed. Then they sent me to another location for my second lot- which was far away. The next time, both bureaus were fakes - both looked real and were previously listed

Being new to the phone app for auctions, I mistakenly bid on and won a painting. When I realized my mistake and contacted the auction house directly, I was told I would have to purchase the item regardless. I asked for a payment plan since it was an unexpected expense and I am a small business owner, seeing as they told me it was a non negotiable purchase. The phone call escalated, Kate the owner called me rude, inferred I knew how the app worked based on my history (which was incorrect) when it was my first experience and, implied I had buyer's remorse and was not being honest, I asked her

I bought a really sweet marble side table with roses that I just love, but be careful - it was incorrectly listed as pietra dura. It is not pietra dura (inlaid marble) it is hand painted on marble and has a resin finish. BIG value difference, and it's tough to tell via the photos, but in person - it's obvious. I live clear across the country in California and it arrived after three weeks, and a few weeks later I sent them a message it was incorrectly listed. I wasn't expecting anything - just sending them a note - and I got a very summary reply that they consider the case closed

I recently purchased a dining room table and a loveseat from Westport Auction.
The staff was more than helpful and professional. Katie and Greg were able to answer any questions I had about my purchases. Two gentlemen even offered to help me carry my items to my car. Both items were exactly as described online. I highly recommend them for any great finds. This place is a treasure.

I am a frequent on Live Auction Bidder. This is the Worst Experience I have ever had. All my items descriptions were wrong...new listed as vintage or antique . Items received broken and then when I telephoned...a young man told me tough! I sent back the earrings described as antique, in actuality were brand new, for a refund and told no way in hell. We will have them repaired and sent back which took another 8 weeks,
