Highlander Restaurant and Pub is nestled into the Historic Collierville Square. As a restaurant first, we take great pride in our selection of food offerings from three course gourmet meals on tablecloths in the dining room to gastro pub flair at our warm and inviting bar. The "wee bites" menu perfectly satisfies your desire for a tasty appetizer to accompany your glass of wine, specialty cocktail or ice cold draft.
Our extensive menu is inspired by the nightlife of Edinburgh, Scotland (recently voted best destination city in Europe) and executed by our Head Chef, Tyler Smith. He will satisfy your preference for fancy to fast or business lunch to family gathering. Dietary restrictions and children's meals are accommodated seamlessly.

The noun "Pub" is a shortened version of "Public House". It traces its roots to "ale houses" found in Great Britain and Ireland as early as 450 AD. By the mid-1200s the genre was more clearly defined as a relaxed, social drinking establishment, often offering food and lodging for travelers. Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) features its own style of neighborhood Pub somewhat different in character than the iconic "Irish" version.

Hardly any chicken (as in one noticeable chunk with a couple...maybe a few pieces of shredded chicken) in the chicken nacho appetizer. The bratwurst was more like a jumbo hotdog boiled in beer. Overall less than underwhelming. We went there a few years back and I was really impressed. Sorry to have returned.

Good atmosphere and friendly staff. My wife and one of our friends had the fish and chips, which were really good. My friend's wife had the Tuscan Pork, which she enjoyed. And we all had dessert (toffee something-or-other) that was really tasty. Unfortunately, my meal wasn't quite as good. I had the steak pie, which seemed to have reheated steak. The meat was dry and tough. The flavor was OK, but the meat didn't seem freshly cooked, so it really took away from the dish. Given that the dish is $25, I expected better. I'm still giving 4 stars since the rest of the group enjoyed their food. But if

Unfortunately I can't attest to the quality of the food because we never got served. It was dead quiet when we came in, with a host and two servers, and after sitting for about 10 minutes another couple came in and was served pretty quickly, before us.
We decided to go across the street to a little Italian place and it was a great decision. Shame cause I was looking forward to maybe some good fish and chips.

First time trying this one and won't be the last! It's a pub so I wasn't expecting filet mignon, but it's on the menu and the wife said it was pretty good (hard to impress). I am a big fish n chips fan and this place has won the gold! Big Ole slab of fish sitting on top of a pile of seasoned fries. Four different sauces in their own little cups. Great service too. Manager stopped by to make sure we were doing good. Not inexpensive but not over the top either. We will be back!

Make reservations, or sit at the bar. Nice clothes will help you fit in. Pricey, but you don't tip here, so.. had the pasta this visit, it was very good, we also had the steak salad (kind of like a stir fry salad), and the portobello appetizer. Both unique and good as well. Large selection of whiskey and scotch. If you get the sorbet, the strawberry is very sweet, stick to the raspberry, much better.
