Dr. Michael Chung graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He is also a graduate of the world renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies division of Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction.
When you first set foot in our offices, don't be alarmed; we are a dental office, but we are probably not what you expect. In the past, you probably had a negative experience at the dentist's office. The staff was cheerless, bordering on cruel, the chairs uncomfortable, the procedures painful, and the overall experience unpleasant; we are not that office.

Dr. Chung and his staff are amazing. They are professional and friendly. I am very glad to find them in this area. The dental work I did with them were precise, quick, and efficient. I am impressed by their service. Also, Dr. Chung does what he says. I do not need to worry about extra charges that show up surprisingly on my bill. The only down side is that they do not take any insurance; otherwise, I will have all of my family members switch to Dr. Chung. If you can afford paying everything from your pocket, I highly recommend Softouch Dental Care.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Chung for many years now. He and his staff always make us feel welcome, but more importantly the dental care we receive is outstanding. Their preventive care keeps our teeth clean and healthy, and when needed, Dr. Chung’s expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry is top-tier. We’ve lived in many cities across the country and we always travel back to Virginia to Softouch Dental Care for our dental needs.

I went here for a second opinion after a bad experience with a dental implant at another oral surgeon. I was in terrible pain and the site was badly infected. I told him that the other oral surgeon had unexpectedly used a hammer and nails to try to hold in the bone that was added to my jaw. I told Dr. Chung that it had been a terrifying and painful experience. His response was to say that it was "so cool" that the doctor had used a hammer and nails. I left, the pain in my right ear and jaw continued for weeks more, and I wound up with permanent tinnitus in my right ear. I did not feel as though

If you're anything like me, you'll avoid going to dentist for as long as possible. And, of course, the longer you avoid going to the dentist the more you really should be going... I was caught in a vicious cycle of fear until I finally called up Softouch. They have been fantastic! Helping me through some major dental disasters and being supportive and reassuring the entire time. I have been Dr. Chung's patient since he opened his practice at the Oakton location. Over the years, Dr. Chung has replaced, when needed, my gold crowns and amalgam fillings acquired in my youth with bonded ceramic overlays. The process was painless as Dr. Chung thoroughly numbed all sensitive areas. On one occasion, he ordered and installed a replacement crown at no cost to me because I thought the tooth felt "odd".
