Silver Dunes is a gated community of condominiums situated in the heart of the Emerald Coast in Destin, Florida. While all of our buildings feature beautiful views and modern comforts, it is our family-friendly amenities that make the real difference. From our private beach to our lively courtyard, every aspect of our property is designed to make your vacation one you and your family will never forget.
Make the most of your time on the Emerald Coast with Silver Dunes' Beach Service provided by Excel. Beach chairs and umbrellas or cabanas may be rented on a daily or weekly basis. Setups are generally in place by 8:30 each morning and are collected around 5:30 each afternoon. All fees for beach service are due prior to your check out from Silver Dunes.

Our private beach on the Gulf of Mexico is exclusively reserved for use by our guests. That means when you book your family-friendly vacation at Silver Dunes, you can avoid the crowds that are commonplace at the high-rise condos' beach fronts. Our beautiful, private beach is solely for our boutique complex of 98 condos.

Unit 1 Penthouse ground floor. One bedroom one bath. Could really use a much needed fresh bright update. The bath tub is old and scratched up. Ice maker in fridge did not work! Took all your strength to open sliding door. Couch and chair are pleather and peeling. Ugly dirty looking cheap area rugs. This unit could really use a through cleaning! Lamps in living area and bedroom are both cracked and flimsy. Really needs a fresh painting and cleaning! Great location, just a short walk to the beach! For what they charge you would think it wouldn't look like a hotel 6. Not impressed at all!

On Thursday March 25th I and my 4 girlfriends arrived to Destin for for our vacation...well we accidentally pulled into the silver dunes, and we were supposed to turn into Sundestin resort which was the next turn in up from silver dunes...we pull in and turn around after we figured that we were at the wrong place...we go to leave and ask the security guard how to get out of there and he came running out of his guard shack yelling at us using the GD word and continued to yell and came out at us...we took off, and got to the right resort we were supposed to go at, with this being said, I hope whoever

This is a great spot with good restaurants right across the street and other fun family places. Chick-fil-A and Pizza Hut right across the street, as well as a couple others. There is a water park and a go kart place a block or 2 away. It has its own private beach on the property. Cost about $30 to rent 2 chairs and umbrella. There is a pool on the property as well. Right next door, there is a hotel that has a bar/restaurant. Everything is worth 5 stars. The only reason I gave 4 stars overall is because the rooms are a little older style. The condo had ants in the kitchen. We called when We discovered them and got the answering service. They were supposed to have someone get in touch us...never got a call or anything. We bought our own ant spray. The new management of the Silver Dunes condos are extremely RUDE. I was informed by management (with a very nasty attitude) that we were supposed to have been out of the condo at 9:00 instead of 10:00. When I went back through what I had been given, I could not find 9:00 anywhere, just 10:00. I did not appreciate the way I was talked to by the management representative. The beach service

For 30+ years we stayed at Silver Dunes. Every June you knew the Miller, Hollis, and Stogner families were coming for a week of relaxation and family time. 2019, however, would be the last time we would go. We didn’t mind the yearly price increases all that much, even though the price kept rising and nothing really got any better. We just paid it and forgot about it. We didn’t mind the lack of amenities compared to other places in town because “we’re here for the beach. Initially I gave this a 1 star review but after the response from the owners, to be fair I had to reconsider with a 3 star. When we got here there was trash on the floor. The toilets wouldn’t flush. They didn’t have enough tow els and no wash cloths at all. The glass door to the balcony is broken. The shower head in the first bathroom broke and response time was very slow. There is mold in the toilets and on the shower curtains. The owner of the unit we Are in doesn’t take care of basic maintenance, but the facilities are very nice and the private beach is great. I wish I could give this place a better review, but they have major problems with their owners. My parents have been going as Snow birds for the last few years and this year we tagged along for a week. When they first arrived there were no railings on the fourth floor meaning that if you lost your balance you could fall 3 stories. They have since put up temporary wooden railings. The elevator was out of order and won't be fixed for the entire 2+ months they are there. The worst part of it is that the company made no effort to tell my 70 year old parents this. One word, amazing! SilverDunes is the PERFECT place for families! The beach is close with great views. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. George can help you with all of your beach service needs. We have been coming here for over 30 years. We have raised our children here in this safe, family friendly atmosphere. Chick Fil A is located across the street with a stop light pedestrian walkway. When you want the perfect beach vacation, look no further than SilverDunes!!!
