Special FX Salon & Day Spa

My usual salon was booked so I came here for a haircut.

The receptionist was in a hurry over the phone booking the appointment; misquoting me, getting the time wrong, etc. That was strange because there was only one other customer when I arrived, so I'm not sure what her frantic rush was over the phone.

The cut was on the same level as a great clips haircut; uneven, long strands of hair sticking out, missed areas that needed cut, etc. Not worth the 50 dollar price tag whatsoever.

My stylist seemed like she was under the influence of something, acting very strange.

Definitely not returning

This place rocks! We have been coming here for a while now and the service is always incredible. Heath does amazing work with my girlfriends curly hair. And as a man I am always reluctant to have anyone wax my brow. But I've finally found my go to place. Thanks so much for being awesome.

Been calling for days to make an appointment. No one ever answers or returns calls. Also if you try to schedule it online it says to call so if your suppose to call and no one answers how are you suppose to make an appointment. Super frustrating

The first time coming here was such a great experience. The front girl with purple hair was very helpful. That’s why I decided to come here again but I run into a terrible service with Heath.
1. Yelled at me because I book through 3rd party app instead of their official website( just like using DoorDash vs. call the restaurant directly)
2. I book the same service, it was much shorter this time and they skipped a important step(hair steam) and lie to me they never have it
Honestly I want to give 0 star if possible. But consider the first time service was good. I’m fine with 1 star

I've been here with a motive to chop my very long hair, which started bothering with Matt knots.
I was very lucky to have Racheal for my appointment .
She was professional and patient carefully removed knots saved my hair without chopping .
She loves what she does and is Sooper friendly.
Very reasonable charge too,.
I'd go back for trying other spa options .
Highly recommend Rachael and the salon.

My daughter loves coming to Fx for her hair. She's only 10 but she's been getting her hair cuts here by Jessica did the past couple of years and she's done a great job every time. Recently we came to Jessica asking for purple highlights to frame her face. Jessica knew what to do and how to make it subtle yet fitting for her age. She's so great with my little girl and I can't recommend her enough!

Came to see Little Sister Rachel today. My kid needed a cut before school. So, here we are. My kid wanted a wolf cut, but since she doesn't style it, that cut was out of the question.

I don't trust a lot of people with my kid, and it's nice my kid likes Rachel's sense of humor. They both have the same sense of humor. So Rachel was natural choice.

I had a haircut here last year that was terrible. The back was totally uneven and she cut off way more than I had wanted. She didn't even do a good job shampooing it.

I called to complain about my haircut and was called back by a woman named Jen. She was very apologetic and offered to fix my cut.

Well I never ended up going back to get my hair fixed because of Covid. They kept closing the salon and I am a high risk individual so I decided it wasn't worth the risk.

Got my hair colored and cut by Jennifer. I have been there a few times and everyone seems very friendly and its clean and comfortable environment. I seen everyone clean and sanitize the chairs/stations after every use and she did an amazing job on the color and cut.

I've been seeking a talented stylist going on 10 years now. Finally I met Meghan @ Special FX Salon. Her Instagram displayed phenomenal transitions and I could tell she was extremely experienced. She helped me look great with an easy regimen to include getting some new products to help my hair stay healthy and beautiful. Her advice and recommendations were spot on. Thank you so much!

Everyone is so friendly, all the stylists and even the girls up front. The shop is very large, with multiple areas to accommodate lots of people and with at least a good 6-ft distance in between chairs, it felt safe to be there, even during the pandemic, so far I've only had my hair cut and colored by one talented person, and she did an amazing job. I was watching the other stylists, they too had a lots of talent Thank you Meghan! Your the best!

I got a super cute A line cut by Meghan, I am so happy with it! I was so frustrated with my thin hair I wanted to cut it all off. Meghan did an amazing job working with me to save as much length as we could and gave my hair a much needed deep conditioning. Meghan has so many great ideas for hair health and styling, I highly recommend her! I usually dread going to get my hair cut but now I can't wait to go back!

I came in for a fringe and hair trim with Maria and she was absolutely phenomenal. I've had experiences in the past where the stylist would have a case of happy scissors (hair cut shorter than what was asked for). I really dislike asking for 1.5 inch trim and coming out with 3 inch trim. Maria did a great job asking me what exactly I was looking for and she checked in with my hair length throughout the process. She was very detail oriented and meticulous with my hair. Kudos to you and I look forward to seeing you again.

She listens to her clients, she is super professional and she takes her time to make sure they are happy.

Special FX Salon is a special place. The owner, Denise, is dedicated to educating her stylists and employees. The salon is beautiful and clean. The front desk is always welcoming. The assistants are upbeat and always concerned about your comfort. There are all levels of stylists to choose from. Highly recommended!

I’ve been seeing the amazing Holly for a few years now. She takes great care of my hair at our regular appointments and recommends treatments as needed.
Last year she did an amazing bolayage that lasted a few months before I needed to get my roots touched up (it’s been growing out since and just looks like highlights now)
SpecialFX also has a large selection of hair care products for sale.

Jessica is amazing to go to if you are brunette and want to be blonde! I have been satisfied with my hair color over the past 3 months since she’s been doing it. My hair is so fresh & healthy. The salon itself is clean and has very friendly and welcoming staff! There are fresh beverages to enjoy during your appointment. I feel so welcomed here!

Holly had been doing my hair for years and does a great job every time. I'm a very busy person and she always makes an effort to fit me into to her schedule.
