Mark Edward Godbey is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and owner of Mark Godbey & Associates. Our law firm is a full service, general practice firm, serving clients in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Our five attorneys have over 70 years of combined experience. While each attorney focuses on one or two specific areas of practice, our office as a whole can provide a variety of legal services to our clients.
Lee Mercer was born in Virginia and raised in the Stanford, Kentucky area. Although a proud native of the Commonwealth, he quickly fell in love with the Greater Cincinnati Area while attending Northern Kentucky University. Lee's interest in the law as a career sprouted from his participation in the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
Arthur M. Richard III (Arthur) was raised in the Cincinnati area, attending Walnut Hills H. and then graduating from Cincinnati Country Day School. Arthur received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. Before pursuing his legal education, Arthur worked in Marketing for H. Wolf & Sons.

Divorce was a very difficult period in my life fighting emotional turmoil, financial risks, and child visitation. During this process Edwin Vardiman from Godbey law was my rock throughout the entire divorce. It is nice to know that someone has your personal interests always in mind as their clients can be in an emotional cloud and not thinking clearly while their soon to be ex spouse is trying to take them to the cleaners. Ed is very easy to talk to both as a hired lawyer but also dealing with apposing council and magistrates. The response time via email or phone call was always punctual and answered

Edwin Vardiman and team were outstanding to work with throughout a 6 month long child visitation case! My wife and I have used Mark Godbey for several years, the latest which is depicted in the pictures below. We were buried in debt as the first picture shows. Dennis Risch ( our personal attorney ) guided us through and did all the heavy lifting. The after pictures shows a beautiful summer morning.

My husband and I had attorney Vardiman for a very difficult custody case, and we can’t say enough great things about Godbey law. The staff is amazing and we always felt our case was just as much as priority as the next. Attorney Vardiman did an excellent job! He is very intelligent and has really great analytical skills. He was very professional, he genuinely seemed to care about our case and he fought so hard and did every thing possible to get the end result which was full custody! My experience with Godbey has been a very positive one. Attorney Edwin Vardinman took my case on a moment's notice because another attorney at a different law firm left me hanging in the wind and I am ever so grateful that Attorney Vardinman stepped in when he did. Mr. Godbey has represented my family members for more than 15 year on a number of matters including probate, real estate negotiations, estate planning, tenant eviction representation, city building condemnation and sadly in once case criminal traffic (not me-lol). Mark Godbey & Associates has represented me very successfully over the years through different types of legal issues. They are quick to respond to my needs and questions.
