Services
Dr. Char was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu and graduated from the Kamehameha Schools and from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He completed a post-graduate doctorate degree in dental medicine at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. Dr. Char established his practice in 1998 in the Ala Moana Building.
Devi has been part of our team for over forty years! After receiving training from the University of Michigan Dental School, Devi began working in the dental industry and loves helping patients care for their smiles. She enjoys being a part of our family at Char Dental, and has become good friends with many of our patients!

This is the BEST dentistry a patient could ever hope for. Doctor Char, Rose, Luanna and rest of the team, big mahalos! You guys take such good care. Doctor Char is an amazing dentist. He has fixed a lot of cracked fillings that were done by previous dentist. He's honest and uses the "conservative" approach when it comes to dental repair. Office is very clean. If you arrive early there is a wonderful waiting room with comfy chairs and also a bathroom. Thanks again and happy holidays!

Nice office and friendly. Rose always greets me with a smile. During my visits I have seen both hygienists and interacted with all of the staff. Overall my teeth cleaning with the hygienist who has been there longer has been great/good. Jill is polite, friendly, explains everything very clearly and is specific about what is going on in my mouth, also is funny/humorous. She does a great job on the cleaning. I can tell she is thorough and I don't mind the extra time when the appointment goes long. On my last visits I got the newer girl (can't remember her name) who was also friendly but

Char Dental is located on the 4th floor of the One Kapiolani Building. There is a private lot that usually has plenty of parking for customers. You do have to get a parking ticket from the attendant but you can get it validated before you leave. The office itself is very welcoming and relaxing. There are comfy chairs in the lobby as you wait for your appointment. Honestly, everyone in the office is so nice and incredibly friendly! Julia did my teeth cleaning and was very knowledgeable. She was able to explain everything that was going on during my appointment and give me extra specific details

Hands down, the best dentist & staff!! I've been seeing Dr Char for over 10 years & there's no wait time (few mins), they're so efficient, personable & friendly. I've been going to this location for at least 10 years. Originally, this practice was that of Dr. Mashimo, but he retired and the office had gotten acquired by Dr. Char in recent years. Therefore I became a client of Dr. Char.
I have been to four or more other dental offices, but this one has been my most favorite.
It's convenient for me since I live and work nearby. Parking is free with validation and I never had a problem finding a spot. But also, it's modern and everyone is friendly and genuine. There's just a handful of people working in this office and I always feel

Dr. Char moved to this location after acquiring the practice from Dr. Mashimo. My wife had me try Dr. Mashimo because she had him for years. By default, Dr. Char became my dentist. Their location was well suited for me because I work less than five minutes walking distance away. So much for location.

Dr. Char and his staff are awesome! I've been going to them consistently for over 10 years and I'm more than happy and satisfied with their services. I was introduced to Dr. Edmund Char by my husband, they're family friends and has been the family's dentist for generations, and I'm really glad that I was introduced to this dental clinic because they really give the best service.
the staff is the just the best, they follow up on time, and they check on you after a procedure. The ambinace of the place is very relaxing and everything is clean and organize.
