You may notice that our practice is called Kaizen Dental Center-and that's not Dr. Eric Muraoka's name. So, where does the "Kaizen" come from? Good question. The term kaizen is the Japanese concept of "continuous improvement" within work, a theory that Dr. Muraoka found great inspiration in while traveling to Japan throughout his life.

Our office has pleasant fresh aromas - not that classic 'dental office smell' Gross! Every child deserves to have a bright and healthy smile.
Dr. Eric Muraoka is the lead General Dentist and owner of Kaizen Dental Center. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Muraoka attended the prestigious Iolani School for his formal high school education. He went on to receive his Bachelors in Chemistry from Lewis and Clark College, then stayed in Portland where he received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Oregon Health and Sciences University.

My very first experience here was 1st Class from start to finish!!! I had been sooo leary and scared to go to the Dentist -- it's been 13 years -- so I took my careful time researching different Dental Teams before choosing Kaizen Dental.
From sweet, efficient Bianca running the front office, to the EXCELLENT & calming zen skills of Malia with X-rays and a ninja, magical cleaning, to Dr. Kim doing the overall check up, with such a great sense of humor-- who would think you could actually LAUGH genuinely in a Dental Chair-- it's an Oxymoron really!!! in between his expert recommendations.

My 1st appt. With Kaizen Dental Center
was today 01/13/22 at 3:00. I was running a little late so I called them to let them know the situation and to my surprise they were very understanding. All of the staff were awesome. Especially Ha. Long story short. I ate a mango of the rock variety and my entire tooth broke completely off. I called Kaizen Dental and they were able to squeeze me in same day. Nervous upon arrival, Doctor and staff made me feel super comfortable and relaxed with some humor. I got my X-rays, molding, then scheduled an appt for an implant. Thank you kaizen dental for coming to the rescue, I now won’t have to walk around with a gap smile much longer. 😁

Had an excellent experience during my first visit to Kaizen Dental for a cleaning. Really great team all around. Everyone is really nice and also know what they're doing.
Cleaning was amazing and very thorough!
Doctor was very positive and helpful during the routine exam, and I'd definitely get dental work done later with Dr. Eric Muraoka when it's needed. 10/10!

It was my first visit. Such incredible people, I mean they are a team that's unbeatable. My consultation took every factor into consideration, including personal concerns, financial concerns, various insurance information and referrals, and such beautiful and genuine care and comfort. Friendly is not the only word. Genuine concern for your continued "kaizen"--movement forward to a great solution functionally and aesthetically.
