Baba Kabab is Southwest Louisiana's first true Kabab House. We have created our original recipes by infusing spices and flavors of traditional Turkish cuisine. Whether it's our Kababs or our Clay Pot Oven Dishes, you're sure to be on a culinary adventure. We hope you can join us at Baba Kabab in Lafayette!

Baba Kabab is a dream for my family. I've always wanted to open a true kabab house in South Louisiana that will bring the infused flavors and spices of true Turkish cuisine to Acadiana. The recipes are all unique from my own kitchen. The name is also incredibly special, as the name Baba was chosen by my son because it means "father."

Amazing food! My wife and I are addicted to this place. From the first round of hot “puffed” pita and olive oil/green stuff dip to the delicious salad to the main entree, we are never disappointed! The meat kabobs and the veggies are always done perfectly. What can I say? Go try it for yourself. It is our absolute fave! Oh, the servers are awesome and Yousef the manager is a hit too. Always friendly and busy about making us hat and fappy! :-)

The premiere place for Mediterranean cuisine, in house steaming hot Pita, and a filling and tasty sampler platter ate all you need. But they take it one step further and offer truly unique and freshly made kabobs (I had the lamb) and sides to go with it (I highly recommend the bhurgul).

Absolutely adored this little restaurant! Came here with 2 others.
We got the Baba Goes Crazy (basically they just bring you out food - a little bit of everything). SO. GOOD!!!! Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection, nothing was too dry (which we've had happen before at kebab type places). Just make sure you're hungry-hungry if you get that. Would be keen to try other dishes too.
Definitely will be making a return visit before we leave town. Compliments to the chef! 😄

First and most important the food here was delicious. The presentation was somewhat lackluster unfortunately. The wait staff Benjamin was top notch, he was right on top of things, friendly and knowledgeable. The environment was quiet and a bit dim. Overall it was pricey but I'd eat here again regardless.

First timer, but definitely will not be the last. Definitely have an authentic feel to the whole place, and the food was delicious!
We had the following:
Vegetable Borek - thin layers of phyllo dough stuffed with vegetable - talk about crispy and flaky! Delicious and light
Hummus Sampler served with pita bread
- Original, blended chickpeas mixed with tahina, garlic and lemon
-Sautéed chopped tenderloin beef mixed with pine nuts and pomegranate sauce
-mediterranean sun-dried tomato and feta cheese
-cajun style (hop & spicy) topped with roasted red bell pepper
All of the hummus was delicious
