We are a privately-owned practice whose goal is to exceed client expectations and to provide excellence in client relations. Dr. Hill, Dr. Sherman, and our veterinary staff provide the highest quality Veterinary care for your pets and treat them as members of your family.
In 2015 the practice was purchased by Dr. Richard Hill. Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital maintains two experienced doctors treating small animals and exotic species. Our team consists of Certified Veterinary Technicians, Technician Assistants, Boarding and Kennel Assistants and Client Care Representatives.
We care about your pet and implement all safety measures in inducing and monitoring anesthesia. Inhalant anesthesia in dogs and cats is very similar to what is used in human hospitals. Pre-anesthetic blood work is performed prior to putting pets under anesthesia. We do this to make sure the pet is healthy enough to get through the anesthetic procedure safely.
Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital has a dedicated surgical suite that was designed for achieving the highest level of cleanliness and sterility and natural light for our surgical patients. We utilize all of the latest in monitoring equipment, have trained and certified veterinary technicians monitoring your pet during surgery, and provide the most updated surgical techniques.
Imagine if you never brushed your teeth. You would have bad breath, unsightly teeth, tooth pain, teeth that fall out and even worse, heart and kidney disease from the bacteria that infect the bloodstream from decayed teeth. Getting your pet on teeth brushing regimen is an excellent preventative; one that sometimes takes training and patience to accomplish.

I don't think it could've gone better. Previous vets set the bar pretty low, but I was very pleased with everything. Appt started on time. Information was explained clearly. My concerns were heard. Front desk staff was awesome. Vet tech was so sweet with my girl.

The front desk staff is so welcoming and caring it feels like your talking with a good friend! Dr Hill is amazing! I trust his diagnosis and suggestions 100% I had a dog that was always getting sick, he always went above and beyond for her! If I called saying it was urgent, he did whatever it took to see her immediately. I just met the newest addition to the office Dr Tinsley which was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital

My dog was limping so I called our vet and found out it had closed. We called several vets and found out they would not take new customers. Finally, we gave Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital a call and was able to get an appointment. My wife and I were very grateful and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and vet and we were satisfied with the entire visit. The medicine and recommendations we received seem to have had a very positive impact on Freddie. We feel lucky that we called Sunnyside Veterinary Hospital and plan to be forever customers.

I took our Shiba Inu here just last week, after hearing good reviews from people in our community, including our neighbors. All the employees are very friendly and the interior is clean and inviting. Tessa was great with Mochi, and Dr. Hill was extremely thorough. Unfortunately, they didn’t accept the free wellness check-up certificate that came with Mochi’s registration to AKC (as other veterinary clinics do). I’m assuming the clinic would receive a reimbursement so perhaps they’ll consider changing their policy in the future. Regardless, I was very pleased with their service and look
