Services
We are a family run school managed by the owners Kevin and Sharon Port. After years of research and evaluating numerous child care / preschools, we chose to acquire Children Central. We knew, even if we did not own the school, this would be the preschool we would select as parents ourselves, to help educate and care for our two children.
The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) states: "The percentage of four-year olds with proficient academic and social skills doubled to 81 percent after participating in Keystone STARS 3 and 4 programs." Activities designed to encourage communication, both written and verbal, occur naturally in the day.
Children are only released to those individuals listed on the child's records by the enrolling parent. Gates and fences are strategically placed throughout the campus with safety and security always in mind. All employees are required to undergo background checks and are thoroughly screened thereby giving you complete peace of mind.
The Children's Day Care Program at Children Central is successful largely due to our outstanding staff. We hope you love our school, appreciate the curriculum, all of our innovative programs including daily observations and year-round child assessments, but what is most important is the staff. Our teachers are educated and trained to teach, supervise and care for the children will all of their love, passion and dedication.
We absolutely love Children Central. We have had our 3 kids enrolled here for about 3 years and have only had great experiences. The rooms are bright and clean. The curriculum is impressive. My oldest son is very well prepared for Kindergarten. The kids are always excited about the new things they are learning every day.

My son and daughter use to go here back in 2013. The owner was awful then too. Only cares how things LOOK. I personally liked how the daycare was set up. But the owner is a nasty man and money hungry. That’s all he cares about. Treats his staff poorly. Find another child care center.

We can never express enough how fortunate we are to have Children Central as our daughter's first school - Every member there, from the warm ladies greeting everyone in the morning to the classroom teachers, to the owners who treat this place as their own baby showed the highest level of caring and integrity. Special thanks to Miss Quaneace and the very involving and responsive owners Kevin and Sharon Port!

Children Central has a great atmosphere for kids. The owners are very hands on running this amazing place. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about the kids. The environment is welcoming and very kid friendly. Our daughter loves going there and we can tell that she’s really learned a lot. The kids have a well balanced daily routine from their daily learning topics, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor playtime. They have free meals and they have a great app to keep you informed of your kid’s activities. I would recommend Children Central to anyone looking for childcare.

I cannot say enough good things about our time at Central. Kevin, Sharon, and the whole team make everything so welcome to the children and families. Our son looks forward to going each day and that is a testament to the environment Kevin and Sharon create. The teachers are wonderful and make the kids day enriching and fun. Chef Dave's food is always a hit too! Hearing my child come home and talk about his friends and all the fun he had and things he learned is just wonderful. We know he is being taken care of and as a parent that is a great feeling.

We are super happy with Miss. Samira, she is amazing and the sweetest teacher ever, I personally feel so lucky to know that my daughter is under her watch every day. The communication is great. Eva is learning so much from her she knows her abcs, colors, shapes, she knows how to pronounce as well identify. She is amazing I wanted to bring this up because she deserves this review 100%. She takes care of Eva like her own and I really appreciate that so much. We are super grateful for the environment you’ve created to our daughter!!

Our three year old son had amazing experience at CC. Teachers were very knowledgeable about childhood education and took care of him very well. He was not a good eater at the beginning but after I requested teacher to encourage him during lunch time greatly helped him to improve his eating habits. He always liked going to school and he is missing his school and teachers after we moved away from the area. Owner Kevin and all the staffs are very friendly. The entire school is very neat and clean and they have lots of daily fun activities. Their outside playground is amazing !

I have never written an review in my life, but Children Central was the WORST experience I ever had with child care center EVER. And definitely the worst experience I’ve had working as an employee at any job. Working with the amazing children and teachers was the only reason I enjoyed working there. The assistant teachers are phenomenal and try their absolute best every single day. The owners on the other hand are the most unprofessional and argumentative people that truly had no time to get to know us personally let alone show the desire to. No conversation could be had without feeling belittled

Our two children attended Children Central from the Infant Room through Pre-K, and our youngest recently left for kindergarten. It has been bittersweet for us to say goodbye to the place where we’ve made a stop just about every weekday morning for the past 7 years. However, we have left knowing that our children have been well cared for and well prepared for school. The caring staff, very involved owners, frequent communication, and fun activities have made this feel like a second home for our kids.

My daughter has been attending Children Central for the last 2 years. She seems to be learning a lot and likes going to “school.” The owners are very responsive. The staff seems great with the children. Love the ability to see pics of my daughter during the day and appreciate all the updates on the app. I highly recommend this daycare/preschool!

This is an UPDATE: Children's Central has been a dream come true. My son and I tried 2 previous schools until we found the perfect match! My son has some sensory quirks and they welcome his IEP aides and work harmoniously. My son has attended almost 2yrs and is loving Pre-school. In their twadler class the teachers pretty much did the potty training!! He is still 3 and can spell and identify his name. He writing letters and can count to 20 in English and 10 in Spanish. He enjoys going and cries when he has to leave. Most importantly he is loved. The teachers and staff all know his name and greats
