Care for exotic and non-traditional pets including birds, snakes, turtles, tortoises, frogs, and more. Preventive care and nutritional recommendations for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other small pets.
Let Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital provide professional care for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

I visited Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital yesterday and had a great experience. My kitty developed an eye issue over the holidays, and NMVH found me an appointment right away. Dr. Peck, Kara, and the rest of the staff I encountered were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They helped during a very stressful time for both myself and my kitty, and I left knowing that my cat received the best care possible. I have only great things to say about Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital and will continue to make the 1+ hour drive to see them in the future.

Dr. Peck and the staff at NMVH are simply amazing. They are caring and listen to concerns. They leave no stone unturned when trying to figure out an issue.
Dr. Peck has personally been our vet for over 15 years now...If I can remember right!
The support staff treat my babies with kindness, caring and compassion and they understand how important they are to me.

This is a great Veterinary Clinic with excellent care, attention to detail and very helpful . My primary vet will be booked out weeks with no appointments to spare. Twice Northern Michigan Veterinary Clinic has been able to make time for my dog Asta to be seen within a few days . I am very thankful for them making the time to get us in . I will absolutely be making the change to this clinic permanently .

I highly recommend this veterinary. Walter, our dachshund, is a patient here and he actually likes going for his visits due to the way he is treated by the compassionate staff. Dr. Peck is thorough and factual in his diagnosing. We travel all the way from Northport for services with this fine veterinary practice.

I am from out of town and was able to get an urgent care appointment when my dog was sick. The vet and all staff were very polite and did a great job. My dog is nervous at vets and they were so kind to her. Dr. Mittner was great, assessed the problem, did the necessary tests, and prescribed a plan to help my dog feel better. I would definitely recommend this vet to others.
