Most of our days are spent with our noses pressed firmly against one single dot, and that dot is all we can see. We miss out on the richness of what's around us. This new perspective allows us to understand more about the situations we find ourselves in, and how and why we got there. My role as a psychotherapist is to support you in this exploration, to encourage kindness toward yourself, and to gain compassion and peace.
Services
My training began at John F. Kennedy University, where I received a masters in transpersonal counseling. I then interned at the Women's Therapy Center - the Bay Area's leading training facility for relational psychotherapy - as well as Albany High School. I became interested in and built a specialization in psycho oncology while serving as Manager of the Psychotherapy Programs at the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Berkeley, CA.
I specialize in working with people who are expecting and are adjusting to parenthood. This time in a parent's life can be confusing and overwhelming. Immense physical and hormonal changes are coupled with sleep deprivation and new expectations and responsibilities. While we expect this to be a time of great joy, many women are unaware of the range of likely emotional reactions.
Survivors of childhood abuse, sexual assault, and/or a previous disappointing or traumatic birth often need help in thinking through how they want their birth experience to be. Preparing loved ones and medical practitioners can help protect a mother from unnecessary trauma when giving birth and hopefully create an overall more positive experience.
I offer supervision to interns working towards their hours for licensure and provide consultation to licensed clinicians looking for added support with their caseload. I strive to provide a supportive learning environment for clinicians to bring their whole selves to the supervision hour.

My goal is to help other therapists grow into confident clinicians so they can strengthen their practice and provide the best possible care to their patients and clients.
