Pain is not a diagnosis - it's a symptom. Our goal is to improve your quality of life by first diagnosing and then treating the cause of your pain. For the safest, most complete, and most effective care, we employ the full spectrum of pain management tools, techniques, and procedures. This includes highly innovative approaches tailored to your individual health and condition.

And we do most of it right in our office, so you don't have to juggle appointments and information among multiple healthcare providers.
Services
Dr. Antonio Mesa is a board-certified neurologist who is subspecialty board certified in pain medicine. He specializes in interventional pain management and utilizes a team-oriented philosophy to work with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes. Dr. Mesa is proud that many of his patients include other healthcare providers and he is frequently sought out by other practitioners from around the country for consultations.
Like our patients, we prefer individualized treatment and seek to avoid the conveyor belt approach so common in healthcare today. While most patients usually do very well with the most typical treatments, some patients require specialized therapy that is different from what most others need. We work to find safe regimens that provide the best possible relief based on each patient's needs and preferences.
Of course, we treat many patients with chronic back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint pains from a variety of causes. In addition to these condition, we also treat some very specialized pain problems. Below is a list of some of the conditions we treat. These are the most common conditions we treat.
This is a straightforward treatment that involves removing part of a herniated disc that is irritating a nerve, thus triggering chronic pain. It is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure using only a catheter and typically takes less than an hour. As part of a broader pain management regimen, this can provide improved pain control while avoiding the need for major spine surgery.

I recommend Dr. Antonio Mesa to anyone. Dr. Mesa is a very knowledgeable neurologist and pain management specialist. Not only is he extremely educated in his field but also compassionate, caring and a humanitarian. My father had been struggling with back pain for months and attempting every medication without relief, Dr. Mesa was finally able to subdue his pain. Forever grateful to Dr. Mesa for helping my father.

I recommend Dr Mesa to anyone. I refer to Dr Mesa as Dr House, if you’ve never seen the show, House and his staff are notorious for figuring out what is wrong with the most difficult diagnosis. I cried when he couldn’t see me anymore, due to his specialized treatment being pain and not MS. I referred a friend that spent 10 years seeing dr after dr and nor knowing what was going on. I made her an appointment (after my glowing recommendation) and within 5 minutes with Mesa diagnosed her correctly and had her tested ASAP to confirm diagnosis before referring her to a cardiologist. He is the best

Dr. Mesa has been my pain management doctor for a long time. He has made me functional again and I owe him my ability to get up everyday without pain. Even surgery couldn’t give me the results his treatment did. Thank you.

I went to Dr.Mesa for chronic back leg and cpps he was nice and performed nerve blocks and medicine that was helpful, how ever no instructions or follow up was offered after my procedure,I was in severe pain and spent 2 days calling his office, leaving messages which I believe were never passed on to him.His staff asked me if I had nothing better to do then call the office and bother them. Then a staffmember named Thania told me they have done all they can for me. So basically don't bother us anymore. They showed no empathy or compassion for a patient with chronic pain. They should not be working for

The nurse from Dr. Mesa's office just hung up on me while I was requesting copies of my records from failed epidural shots that I received there. This is a good place to go if you're looking for an extremely rude nurse - they definitely have one at this location. Also, the women in the reception part of the office are absolutely the WORST that I have encountered anywhere in my entire life.
Save time and money and avoid this office and this Doctor. I have wasted precious time and money - only to find myself still in pain, and being hung up on by the nurse.
