Henry was outstanding in figuring out why my car wouldn’t start. I was ready to have it towed just before Christmas, knowing that I may not have it fixed until New Year’s (so very upset). He figured out that I was using my valet key (that I had totally forgotten I even had). Zero need to have it towed or fixed. Mario went above and BEYOND to provide excellent service and was very helpful and professional. He went against all odds, even when multiple people denied our request because the car was stuck and it was too much trouble, but mario didn't quit! I have used this company a few times to tow my car from my home to the repair shop. Each time the drivers have been very professional and courteous. The last tow driver was Mario and I really appreciated the effort he put into having to use the wrench to guide my car down the narrow driveway at my home. Want to send a public thanks to Shaun last night for the quick service. Was stuck on 90-W NYS thruway - first ever car failure. Had to call Emergency Service which connect to Thruway which connected to Action. Was there in 23 mins from when Action called me. Thank you to the call coordinators as well.

My car wouldn't start so I called AAA to get a boost. Henry from Action Towing arrived and tested my battery showing it was on its at leg and he knowledgably discussed the lifespan of a battery. I decided to purchase a new battery, which Henry had on his truck and he installed it in less than 10 minutes. Henry was friendly, professional and very capable. I have a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo which needed to be transported to a specialty garage for repairs. Being an unusual vehicle, I was pretty nervous about the whole process, but the garage strongly recommended Action Towing and Service. I'm glad they did. I was towing a U-Haul trailer from Denver to Boston and the worst happened. My differential tore apart and there I was stranded on the side of interstate 90.
In one quick phone call Brandon was out there with extremely quick response time to take care of the situation. He had my truck and trailer ready to go in less than 10 minutes and we were in our way.

My car stopped steering on a busy street. I managed to pull over to the narrow shoulder. I thought I saw something fling itself in the road. I did. My serpentine belt. Stumbled upon Action Towing & Service on a cross-country road trip. My windshield wipers gave out on the highway and I know nothing at all about cars. I was on a sensitive timeline and very stressed, and the staff made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. Not only did they get the part that was needed on the same day, but they showed me the physical part and what was wrong with it as they worked to be sure I understood the issue. I had my car towed here because it was within my 5-mile AAA limit. NEVER AGAIN!!! Not only do they charge a $45 fee just to look at the vehicle, but they also try to get you to pay for things that you do not need.
For instance, this time they tried to tell me that an axle that I had replaced two weeks ago was going to need to be replaced. The back peddling that the girl on the phone did when I told her this was something special.

I Waited and waited and had to call Action Towing as they were running late. They were annoyed upon answering and never reached out to notify me there was going to be a delay. At this point it was an hour from the initial phone call.
I called them again about 15-20 minutes later and they said they would have the driver call me to update the pick up time and that he was in East Rochester which is 10-15 minutes away... Never heard from anyone.
Now 2 hours of waiting and at that time I received an incorrect update through text stating they were on time and would arrive by

Absolutely horrible and dishonest auto repair shop. Typical car shop which will take advantage of your limited knowledge about cars. I had a check engine light on, and asked for an oil change. However, they insisted that they need to diagnose the car to see what is "really" wrong with it. After further diagnoses turns out the car only needed a oil change, but not after they slap you with a 90$ labor fee and charge another 40$ for the oil change itself? Never go here if you are a college student or looking for service you can trust.

***TLDR*** - They failed to replace a fuel pump correctly and failed to reconnect fuel lines so I wasn't leaking fuel like a semi open spigot, twice. For the same botched job.

Such a helpful place!! I was driving across country and happened to be in Scottsville NY when my check engine oil level light came on. I pulled over on the highway and saw that my oil was leaking. I called AAA and they sent Action Towing and Service. AAA made the process confusing but the tow truck driver, Michael made everything seamless and ensured that the tow was covered! Our lights were left on by accident tonight while we were at The Little Theater. Unfortunately, this resulted in a dead car battery. Had car towed there for a broken shift bearing ($20 part). Was told I needed a whole new shifter cable for a total of over $400 including 2.5 hours labor, plus an oil change (which had been recently done) and coolant flush. Was told the bushings weren't available separately, even though i had already bought one.
Paid them the half hour diagnostic fee of $45 and called AAA to have them tow it back to my house, where I replaced the bushing alone in less than a half hour for a grand total of under $100.
The only reason I'm not giving them one star is because the tow drivers were very professional

Fantastic service!! As someone who has worked in customer service for many years along with working for quality companies, I expect the same when I choose to invest my time and money into a business. Just walking through the door of the shop, I felt welcomed. I was also pleasantly surprised to get a greeting from the shop's sweet dog and puppy. Customer service was on point, the work done on my car was speedy and thorough, and the price was outstanding. I will be returning for car maintenance in the future!

My 2010 GMC Lemon broke down for the second time within the last six months. The service dept of my dealership was already closed, so I gave my insurance company (GEICO) a call and luckily I had roadside assistance on my policy. The GEICO phone rep was pleasant, and told me that Action Towing would be out within the hour. In my head, I was like F! (you get the actual word) I had just left Wegmans and had a pile of groceries
