The Astoria Crest Motel sits on nearly three acres, overlooking the mighty Columbia River, Astoria cityscape and the Astoria Bridge. This local, veteran owned, 39 room motel is located less than three miles east of the city center on HWY 30.
This property offers easy access to everything while offering a very quiet, peaceful setting that is not available with any other property. The relaxing setting, epic views and well maintained rooms, are delivered with the utmost attention to detail by the local owners and caring staff. Your experience while staying at The Astoria Crest Motel will rival those of much higher end hotels at a more affordable price.

Services
The Astoria Crest Motel is a long standing icon in the city of Astoria. Opened in 1952 as the Crest Motel; this was the premier property in the area offering 16 rooms and an owners quarters overlooking the Columbia River. Through out the years the original buildings have been renovated and two more buildings were constructed.
Are you looking for a great place to hold a business meeting, training event, leadership conference or perhaps a quilt/craft retreat or family reunion? This space was actually designed by quilters so it has enhanced electrical and lighting systems which allow for everything you need to enjoy your groups time together.
I mean, people! The 180 degree view of the Columbia River with cargo ships and Coast Guard vessels, combined with the echoes of barking sea lions down below in Astoria make this modest hotel a true find. Our room was completely remodeled and comfortable with a deck to sit on while enjoying the vista.

I normally avoid motels. I only checked in a couple hours ago and I love this location. The rooms are old, but very clean. My only advise would be to have more free electrical outlets. I use a CPAP and having only one outlet behind the middle of the bed and that outlet which is full for the two bedside lights doesn't work. The bathroom has laminate counters, a little old, but clean. The bed is very comfy. And I am loving having the patio door open, and viewing the river even though it is raining. Two small pillows on the queen is a little skimpy.

This hotel is amazing. The views are second to none. They have a great hot but that looks over the Columbia River, a wonderful Continental breakfast, with soft beds and pillows. The rooms need a little updating but nothing drastic and the price is right on point. If you'r visit the Astoria area I don't think I would go to any other hotel but this one.

Honestly a great experience. Got the hotel last minute on Hotels.com and they helped us out and gave us a military discount on top of the hotels.com discounts. The service was great, the views were INCREDIBLE, the hotel was very clean, the free brekfast and coffee/hot water and tea 24/7 was very nice. VICKIE WAS AWESOME! She was working so hard in the morning to help with brekfast. Overall a great hotel even, though everything was way too short for anyone about 5'6".

I stayed here for my birthday for a night and didn't know what to think based on the reviews. But it's for sure the nicest motel I've ever stayed in. They offered a full on breakfast with waffles and everything. The room was very clean and I appreciated the vinyl wood flooring as I feel it's more sanitary than carpet. The bed is VERY soft but I actually slept like a baby. The view is beyond stunning and they have designated pet areas which was great. The only cons had nothing to do with the motel or staff but the other guests. Some were loud and letting their dogs run around

Large room with a small fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed with a foam mattress topper made for comfortable night's sleep. Only 3 small pillows (smaller than a standard pillow). Bring your own additional pillows if you're picky. Balcony with a water view. Not close to anything, but just a short drive into town. They provided an 'ol school box fan and it's all that we needed during our stay.
Because of Covid *boooooo* we had to make reservations for the outdoor hot tub (one party at a time), in 15 minute increments. We met some cool peeps during our stay so we reserved back

Stayed here for two nights. Probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, barely slept for two days. The pillows were like flat pieces of sheets. No room service even though the staff did not wear masks (another place trying to get away with not hiring and paying cleaning staff with the excuse of Covid)
VERY SLOW Wifi when it worked, which wasn't often.
Grounds and the view were nice and the room was clean upon arrival, however I would not stay there again considering the price and lack of service.

We had a positively fantastic two-night stay here. Yes, the rooms are a little run down, and the carpets have that clammy "motel" feel. But the sheets were clean, and there was a coffee maker & mini-fridge, which were nice touches. The view was where you got your money's worth--the rooms face the river, and watching the sun set on the water was a great way to end a day. And: Jacuzzi! Loved being able to soak while watching the boats on the river. The basic continental breakfast was also a fine way to start the morning. Staff very nice as well.

My wife and I had our first stay at the Crest Motel in Astoria last weekend. A quaint little motel, with an awesome view. If you are looking for high class ritz and glitz, this is not it, but it has the basics at a good price. The staff was very accommodating of our extra requests. One specific thing I would request: getting some heavier blankets, if only enough to give out if people ask specifically.

I'm not giving this motel 5 stars because it's a 5 star hotel, I'm giving it 5 stars for the value. The King suite with the bay view is awesome. The hot tub was awesome. The front desk and room staff are all friendly and super nice. It's 2 miles outside of town, but that just means you have a high chance of peace of quiet. Lovely little property. In town options are twice the price. Would totally stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed there, and I can only recommend this motel if you stay in the main building. The one-floor units on the other side of the lot are AWFUL. (I guess they are the "pet-friendly?") We expected similar quality to the rest of the motel (we brought no pet) and had no idea how bad this would be - particularly as there was no price difference from the view rooms in the main building.
Extremely small, dark, hot, and cramped, they are a ripoff. When you book, insist that you don't get one of these. Even if you are bringing a dog, go elsewhere - these rooms

We enjoyed our stay.
Pros...
The Astoria Crest Motel is a bit outside town where it's more peaceful yet not too far of a drive for food and such. The beds were reasonably comfy and the pillows quite soft. Enjoyable view, saw many cargo ships. Breakfast was super cool! They filled our order perfectly, delivered right when we requested, and even gave us a couple extra goodies. The shower has very nice water pressure, good temp controls, and the shampoo/conditioner made my hair feel nice.
Cons...
When the shower is running, it's very loud inside the room so if there's more than

Let me start off by saying the view is what you stay here for. It's wonderful. It's a bit out of town so you can over look it and the water. I called to ask if check in could be moved to earlier. The woman said the rooms would finish being cleaned in 1.5 hours. Yet it was clear that my
Room had not been occupied as there was a ring around the toilet from the water sitting. There was also finger prints on the tv. Some of the paper items and sugar packets look like they had been handled a number of times. The internet signal was weak and I did mention it. They said it was due to weather

This a a reasonable priced motel. The room was clean when we arrived and the view was great. You could look out at the river and see the ships anchored. The only problem with check-in was we only received one key card which did make it a little hard as there was two of us. They have a continental breakfasts which you had to fill out a form telling them what you wanted. They would deliver it at the time you put on the form. The first breakfast was just what we ordered but the second was missing items third one was OK. If you want a nice place to stay and have a view this is the place.

This is a reasonable priced motor lodge with a terrific view out the backside of the place.
The folks working there were very nice and helpful.
Due to the naturally cool location, there is no AC in the rooms and unfortunately the temperature was a rare 95 degrees when we stayed there. Fans were employed to get us through the first night and then the cool weather came the next day.
Beautiful town.
