Graber Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business who recently celebrated 80 years serving Iowa City and surrounding areas.
It was founded in 1938 by Dan Graber and passed on to his son, Lynn Graber, who partnered with Lennox in 1946. The company is now owned and run by Lynn's son, Barry Graber. Dan and Lynn both insisted on treating their customers like family, a tradition that Barry Graber and his team are still proud to uphold.

Services
The weather needs to be 60F or warmer to get proper measurements on the refrigerant pressures. Excessive water by the furnace is often caused by an old humidifier pad that needs to be replaced. If it's an emergency we'll make every effort to come, but there will be an extra service charge. We do not clean ducts, however we recommend Americlean, and if you mention Graber Heating when requesting duct cleaning services, you will receive a discount.

Beyond Excellent Service Deserves Appreciation.
We wish to acknowledge this level of service we received from Graber Heating and Air Conditioning.
When our furnace went out we called them at 4:15 on a Friday evening wondering if we could even reach them at such a time! We spoke immediately with a very lady who assured us help would come. This help
arrived shortly, so very friendly and worked diligently into the evening hours to repair our furnace.
We were amazed at such service on such short notice . We were of course so thankful for this a prompt
and excellent service.

The woman answering the phone is RUDE and refused to even make an appointment for us when we called to have our furnace blower looked at. This wasn't an emergency - we just wanted an appointment for sometime in the upcoming week, but she told us her techs were "too busy" to look at it and that they wouldn't service our brand of furnace (which isn't… true since I've had them service it before!). I've used Graber before and the owner and his son have always been very kind and helpful, but based on today's experience we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. We called another repair

Barry came Monday to check out our furnace and determined we needed a new one. Wednesday morning we got a phone call they could get us in that day and we couldn’t be more thankful! I am always freezing and currently feeling incredibly appreciative of Barry and the Graber crew for getting the job done on a super short timeline! You also couldn’t even tell they were here (they were so very clean and/or took special care to clean up after themselves)!

Graber went above and beyond! Not only were they willing to talk to me on the phone to help me find a solution to my problem, they delivered a part to me when they were in the area. I called several other providers in Iowa City, and the customer service just didn't compare. I'll definitely keep them in mind for the future.
