Services
Designed by renowned catamaran designer Kurt Hughes in Seattle, WA, Aolani Catamaran is a 58' Sunchaser American Catamaran. We completed building her in 2003. She is 58' long with a 32' beam. Sails are approx. Engines are twin 230 horsepower Yanmar turbo diesels, 10KW generator, full electronics, netting forward, 4 vacuflush heads.
The Aolani Catamaran Sailing is located at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, directly across the street from the San Diego International Airport. Self Parking is available to you at the Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel & Marina. Also, we hand out tickets after each tour to provide you with a discount for day rate parking.
On our 58-foot catamaran, you and your guests can explore the entire San Diego area like you've never seen it before. At sea, we can comfortably fit up to 48 passengers. If you need to host a larger party or you're looking to sync up with local wedding venues, we can dock alongside a nearby hotel or add a second rafted wedding yacht to double the maximum capacity.

Our Wonderist Agency team has been waiting for our return to the Aolani for two years now and being back on this beauty exceeded all expectations! Bruno was easy to get ahold of in advance and throughout the booking and the price was very reasonable for what you get. It was easy to add on drinks and food as well with a variety of options. Once on the boat, Cap'n Joey gave us the lay of the land and a safety briefing and took us on a great tour with good tunes and the crew did a great job serving us. It was a beautiful day and way to celebrate after a day of Camp in the office.

We celebrated our family of 4 generations! The oldest 91 the youngest 7 months! The experience could not have been better. Our crew was Capt Joey, with Kaitlyn and Cindy as his mates. Very attentive and experienced. We would absolutely plan another celebration with this group.

We recently chartered the Aolani for our company’s two year birthday party. I’ve been on the boat a few times over the years and knew it was a great venue. However, the staff - Kaitlyn, Holly and Captain Joey really took it to the next level. Their enthusiasm and engaging personalities helped take our event to the next level. My wife and I went on a sail tour aboard the Aolani in the San Diego bay and we had an amazing time! The boat is beautiful and very clean. The crew was extremely friendly and professional. The captain steered the boat smoothly to allow us to take wonderful pictures of the scenery. I would definitely recommend them and look forward to reliving the experience again someday.

Above and beyond experience! I received excellent service from the first call with Bruno to set up the event all the way to the end of the sailing trip. Typically in these situations, the atmosphere/event speaks for itself, but I have to say that what truly made our experience were the personable touches and hospitality of the Aolani crew - Kaitlyn, Holly and Joey. Everyone in our group had the best time and the only feedback was that we need to book a longer trip next time (2 hours was not enough). We will definitely be back and look forward to our next event with this wonderful crew!

My wife and I chose the Aolani sailing crew for a sunset sail after our wedding rehearsal. Bruno was easy to work with and made planning the sail a breeze...
The boat was on time and was able to pick us up from our hotel on Coronado. The crew was both fun and professional! During our two hour sail we made it up towards downtown before heading back south! I highly recommended them for a great day out on the water! Thank you Aolani Crew!

We recently chartered the Aolani for a corporate event we were having on the evening of Sunday, June 9. We had approximately 45 people on board. Bruno was very helpful and called me the morning of the event to confirm and also to inform me that the boat would be coming back from a previous charter about 15 minutes before ours was supposed to sail. I informed him that we had food and drinks to bring on board so he directed us on exactly where to go with our items so that when the catamaran arrived, we could have it brought on board.

What an amazing experience! We launched our Lifestyle Event Planning business onboard, CoutureLifestyleEvents.com ! The customer service was amazing and the crew took such great care of us! I have sailed on the Aolani for the past 6 years. It gets better each year. The service they provide and the fun you have on their charters are second to none. Bruno and his team are really great from the time you get on the boat to the time your sail is over. Its a family affair on the boat with Bruno's daughter Lindsey and the husband and wife team that usually runs our charter. Its a great place for company events, like I have used it for or for no reason other you want to have a good time. Great job to the entire staff!

If you have not seen San Diego from the ocean, I suggest you book the Aolani because there are many hidden sites and sounds to see - Big Aircraft Carriers, Navy Ships, Seals and yes even whales have been spotted before.
You can get an open bar and full catering if you desire all being provided by the excellent Aolani Crew. I look forward to booking more of these tours in 2019 with my team.

Yelp was not around back when my wife and I first got married on the Aolani. To see this pop up in my Yelp feed flooded me with amazing memories of how special Aolani truly made our small wedding party feel.

Went on a 3 hour Ash-scattering voyage. (I had nothing to do with making the plans, or paying for it, so can't speak to that). It was very well handled by crew and captain. They are obviously old hands at this sort of thing, and knew the exact line between humor and seriousness, just the way to travel, the proper time to cut the engine and use the sail. The box lunches were decent, and the bar went smoothly.

Reserved a two hour sail for my fellow medical interns. Bruno was quick to respond by text, whereas email conversations were practically non-existent. I didn't get a final price until the day before the sail, but this was understandable considering the fluctuating headcount.
They give you parking vouchers at the end so you only pay $8 at the Sheraton, or you can park across the street for $10. Either way, this was an added expense we did not know about until we got there.

The entire crew was so helpful and fun! Upon entering, everyone grabbed all of our items and helped set everything up within MINUTES! The captain was extremely knowledgeable, was super helpful and provided amazing customer service throughout the entire experience...but for me, the REAL A+, the thing that really set the experience to above and beyond was Jennifer. She was so funny and polite, and she was offering to take picture after picture of everyone! It's amazing to see people do a job they truly love, and you could definitely feel that on the Aolani!

A large group of friends and I have been going out with Aolani for four years for a 4th of July sail around the bay and have always had a blast. As one of coordinators (or "ringleaders", depending on your view), I have had the opportunity to interact with most of the folks with the company. The crew has been accommodating and friendly to our occasionally rambunctious 40+ person group and have gone out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The captain has been professional and capable and has worked with us to get us where we wanted to anchor out and take a swim. We'll be back again

This super friendly family-run business has the secret on the BEST way to see San Diego! We are locals and I had never seen our beautiful city the way that Aolani was able to show it to us! We took a day cruise with 30+ people on board - we cruised right up to the USS Midway which was amazing and under the Coronado Bridge where the captain let us anchor and go for a swim at a small beach along the Coronado golf course! It was a great experience with great customer service, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to do something fun and different while in SD!!

Company event, Captain Stephen and team were very accommodating! Open bar, the ladies even came around the boat to refill drinks, grab plates, etc. Went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. Also very knowledgeable throughout the ride, two hours does go by fast! Either he was challenging himself or what, but Captain Stephen would go right up to the rocks at Seaport Village, right under the USS Midway, and right up to the buoy of the sea lion chilling. Overall an awesome Friday spent, many mahalos!

When we discovered we were docked at the incorrect place, we told the crew we would discuss the gratuity later instead of the original amount. Rather, we wanted to ensure we wouldn't be billed in full for a contract that wasn't fulfilled.
