Divorce is never easy. Filing court action in Family Court is a necessary step in obtaining a divorce. The divorce is granted when a judge signs a Final Order of Divorce, thereby dissolving the marriage. There are many issues concerning children, which must be addressed throughout the divorce process, such as: child support, custody, and parenting schedules.

A certified Guardian Ad Litem is equipped to help. Nancy represents children whose parents are in legal conflict as their Guardian Ad Litem. She also has Guardians appointed to represent her clients' children when it is warranted. Litigation is and should be the last resort for the resolution of family law matters.

Filing an action in Family Court is the only way to obtain a divorce. The marriage ends only when a judge signs a Final Order of Divorce. Before such a final order is entered, property and debts, custody and parenting schedules of children, child support and/or alimony must be divided by agreement or by decision of the Court if appropriate.
Litigation is, and should be the last resort for resolution of family court issues. Parties taking an adversarial stance, while sometimes necessary, is never the best way forward. Nevertheless, Nancy is an experienced trial attorney and is able to aggressively represent your interests in litigation should it be necessary.
There are several options when using a divorce mediator to resolve your issues in dispute.

You may use a divorce mediator prior to filing an action with the court, at the beginning of your decision to separate to help decide the process to be used and/or to help work out issues regarding your separation and/or divorce, and to summarize those decisions in a written document which can later be used to assist in the completion of a written agreement or contract.

I doubt that she even knew my wife's name. I just wish that Nancy would have taken the
