I'm thrilled to have found Dr. Allen! I've been a patient of numerous dermatologists (in Colorado & California) over the years to treat my sun damage, facial lines, and numerous skin conditions. Unfortunately, I've been very disappointed with the results from their sometimes questionable treatments.
Creating patients for life involves high patient satisfaction and patient engagement at every visit. Arrogant, dismissive and unprofessional...one of the worst medical offices I have ever been to. I was referred for the removal of a Xanthelasma by another dermatologist. When I called to make the appointment, the first question I asked is if they accepted my insurance. They said yes, but that they had no appointments available for 5 months. I was clear what the appointment was for, and they had received the diagnosis from the other dermatologist.

I have sent my husband and many friends to be patients of Dr. Simmons and all have been happy. MONTHS ago my daughter set up an appoint with Dr. Simmons for her son on January 17th. Yesterday, they called to say THEY made a booking error and Dr. Simmons was no longer available. The first appointment available was APRIL. They should have made every effort to accommodate their own booking error. Very, VERY bad service.

Three and a half stars? That’s not right. Dermatology Specialists is comprised an extraordinary team of dermatologists and dermatology assistance. I have two tricky Mohs surgeries in the last two years: one on my face, one on my ear lobe. I doubt there are many doctors that could have done the effective and artful jobs Drs. Allen and Benois did.

Dermatology Specialists is by far the best place to go to for all your dermatological needs! Dr. Allen and his entire staff are wonderful to work with and provide outstanding care. They really listen to your concerns and questions and offer honest assessments. They are experienced and professional at all times. I recently had a mini face lift that exceeded all my expectations! I had no bleeding and no bruising and was able to go back to work 2 days after the procedure. The facials they offer are amazing! They really care about everyone of their patients!

Dr Laura Huff was AWFUL.
Amongst other insensitive comments made - I was told to “get over it” when I brought up a skin condition that made me feel self conscious. I was also belittled for electing not to do a procedure when a clear estimate could not be produced.

In regard to your response - I already wrote your office and Dr Laura Huff a lengthy letter outlining my issues and concerns with the lack of care provided. No one chose to reach out to me regarding this letter. So you can imagine that this response now seems pretty disingenuous and hollow

It has been almost a year since I started my journey with Dermatology Specialists-Boulder; I cannot express how satisfied I am with my results. I have always suffered from acne, teen and adult, and had the scarring to show it, and now that I'm in my 50s I was beginning to see the horror of brown spots and fine lines... in addition to my acne scarring.
