Shopping for an HVAC system can be pretty daunting-after all, an HVAC is one of the most expensive purchases most families will make.

At American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, we want to make sure that every part of the purchasing process is comfortable, and that starts with getting familiar with the HVAC basics - and that means answering all of your questions from, "What is a heat pump?" to, "How does central air work?" so you know how HVAC works with your home. When it comes to purchasing an HVAC system, cost is one of the biggest concerns.
Each degree you lower your thermostat for a period of at least eight hours (say, when you are asleep or at work) can make your heating bill 1 percent cheaper, the Energy Department estimates. This doesn't mean you have to freeze at night. Try throwing on warmer pajamas or snuggling under an extra blanket.
Make sure you are getting the best possible light by cleaning fixtures and replacing any yellowed or hazy lenses and diffusers twice a year. Buy fixtures that have a dimmer, which allow you to manually adjust the intensity of light in a room. Because most lights use less electricity at lower settings, you do not need to pay for more light than you need.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
I tried to look a HVAC technician to come and take a look at my mini split AC system. They told me that they refused to service the customers who installed by themselves. Suddenly they hung up the call. STAY AWAY from them. Poor services.

On time, professional service. I have used them several times for my hearing system and they always get the job done right. Their pricing is fair and I believe a good value. I recommend using CT Cooling and Heating

Where do I begin. First of all, Justin, the technician, showed up an hour late. As I waited for him, I finally see him pull up to my driveway. He waits in his company van for another 10 minutes, I assumed he was making a business call. So I finally decide to exit my house to greet him. He gets out and decides to light a match to take a cigarette break. So I wait another 2-3 minutes before he finally jumps into action. After finally getting to speak with him and telling him the issue (A/C stopped working) he informs me that he's been with the company for about 2 weeks. To add, he recently just

We needed service for our mini split system after it stopped working and presented an error code. The technicians came quickly, but were ill-equipped to service the unit and actually were watching YouTube "how-to" videos in our kitchen. Uh, we can do that ourselves. They attempted to call the manufacturer to no avail. They left shortly after doing nothing for us and there was no mention of follow-up.

Laughably, we received an invoice today for $130 citing that they "rendered service for the ductless A/C unit and called factory for confirmation that board is bad." When my

I chose this company to install a new air handler in my attic in October 2017. What a mistake. They provided horrible workmanship and I needed to repeatly call them to fix it. It should have been a regular install, but they managed to damage the unit and they went ahead and installed it any way. It was leaking so much air my attic was cooler then the rest of my house. I had to call then numerous times to fix it. Did not pass inspection from the town of Simsbury and they had to come out and fix it again. Now after seven months the unit is still not working right. I called them and they came out

Excellent service and charged me a reasonable price compared to others that I had used. I wished I had learned about them sooner, I went without AC last year because I couldn't afford it. Thank you so much CT Cooling.
