David L. Pastrell, DDS is a Dentist specializing in dental implants and has been practicing general dentistry in Northwest Reno since 1987. He has been placing dental implants since 2004. His career has been highlighted by his commitment to education. Dental implants are small titanium posts (man- made roots) which are placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing.
Cosmetic dentistry includes a variety of treatments, however the most popular is the Whitening of Teeth through Bleaching. The most recent teeth bleaching choice describes laser lightening. It lasts for an hour and consists in a laser light used in a cycle to trigger the lightening option that the dental professional has actually formerly used on your teeth.
Bleaching as a means to whiten teeth has become very popular in recent years as people desire to improve their appearance and be able to smile with confidence. The technique uses mild bleaching agents in a gel form that whitens the enamel of the teeth. The process usually takes only a matter of days or a week or two to dramatically whiten the teeth in a painless and comfortable manner.
If your tooth's nerve chamber becomes infected by decay, or damaged by trauma, root canal treatment is often the only way to save your tooth. Inside the hard outer shell of each tooth is a specialized area called the pulp or nerve chamber. The pulp chamber contains a system of blood vessels, lymph vessels and nerves, the pulp, which enter from the bone through the root canals.
Before bonding, we will fit the veneers on your teeth and check the color. Slight changes in veneer color can be made by varying the color of the cement. The surfaces of your teeth are then cleansed. The veneers are bonded to your teeth with special cement that is hardened with a high-intensity light.

Wow what a day I had and thankfully the best part was Dr Pastrell and his staff. Long story short...
Last Thursday I broke a tooth. Eating a very grainy bread. Waited a couple of days but was pretty sure the tooth had cracked.
Got to Dr Pastrell's office early - they were spot on with Covid preventative measures and with taking care of me.
Even though the appointment was expected to be short they made room for more time to address the break. One well needed root canal later and I'm feeling better.
Great office, nice folks, great doc and took care of my needs. Safe, secure

I would NEVER recommend this crook to anyone! He does shotty work while blasting Christian music. I guess this is supposed to build trust as he is a good "Christian" man. If anything goes wrong with his work you are S.O.O.L because he will charge you for his short comings. Do yourself a favor and go on down the road. Don't be fooled by his "Christian man" bull*%&$. And not to mention he is twice as much as every other dentist in town. Clearly these 5 star reviews are from fellow church goers who probably get a discount. Office staff are awful too

I have been going to Dr. Pastrell for years now. It's the friendliest staff you will ever meet and the atmosphere is really relaxed which is very helpful when you have to get your teeth worked on! Dr. Pastrell Is very professional and highly skilled plus he's entertaining to boot! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Who enjoys going to the dentist? Well, I had a really enjoyable and painless experience. I had full mouth x-rays, exam and then came back a few days later for cleaning which included a deep pocket cleaning.
Staff is very personable and fun. They all seem to enjoy working with Dr. Pastrell so the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable.
I am very happy to have found my new dentist.

Considering my fear of dentistry in general, I absolutely look forward to my visits here! And I drive 3 1/2-4 hrs to see him, and his staff. EVERYONE I have dealt with is warm, welcoming, happy, gentle, and professional, even when chiding with the boss. So thankful to have this office taking care of my dental health. And, thankful for I.V. sedation!! Just sayin'

I just became a client of Dr. Pastrell and I'm very happy! Not only is he technically very good, but this is the friendliest, happiest office I've ever been in. No grumpy front desk as is so common in this biz - it's a delight to (dare I say) go to the dentist!!! The person who did my recent cleaning also did a spectacular job.

I have dental phobia.
Dr. Pastrell and the team have taken such great care of me, I feel so much better about going! I've had fillings, crowns, an extraction, an implant, and cleanings there. I will never go anywhere else. I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Pastrell has done two root canals and a few fillings and I have no complaints about those! The real reason for my post though is that he did an excellent job on this chipped tooth. I was in a car accident last week and chipped my front tooth when it made contact with the steering wheel. Dr. Pastrell had it fixed in less than 30 minutes and you cannot tell it was ever broken! I was really concerned with being able to see the separation of my actual tooth and the fix and that the color wouldn't match, but none of my fears came true. Very impressed!

My family and I have been using Dr pastrell for more than 12 years and have enjoyed great and friendly service from day 1. I have always really not looked forward to any upcoming appointments, as I expect most people would report, but over the years I have noticed my fear has virtually disappeared because of the considerate service provided by the Doctor and staff. After a recent crown replacement, the Doctor took the time to call me that night to make sure everything was feeling alright. You don't find service like that very often.

I have been going to Dr. Pastrell for over five years now. Every six months I get my teeth cleaned. I have also had some fillings and other minor work done. I have yet to have anything but a great experience.
The thing I enjoy most about Dr. Pastrell's office is the atmosphere he and his staff create. They are always happy and you can tell they enjoy their work.

What can I say? Amazing dental experience! Dr. Pastrell is very friendly and his approach to dentistry is very fun! He goes out of his way to ensure you feel comfortable and has a friendly attitude toward patients. And he has a humor unlike anyone I know.
Front office staff is very nice and energetic! The hygienists are professional and take the time to ensure your teeth are as clean as possible.
The facility is newer, open and bright. Plus, you get free Keurig coffee when you enter.
