Let's start this yelp review by unequivocally stating that I am petrified of dentists, dental offices, and anyone associated with any dental office. I broke a tooth and needed other tooth work done. A recommendation from my best friend led me to Dr. Platt's office. Warm staff, inviting office space, hygienists that are calm, caring, and craftspeople of their trade. Then there is Dr. Platt, warm, reassuring, full of detailed explanations. He offers alternatives, prescriptive paths to treatment and is literally the most humane person to have DDS after their name. Dr. Platt is a good dentist who seems to be completely out of touch with how his office staff treats his patients... I have been a patient of Dr Platt's for the past 7 or 8 years until yesterday. I had an appointment for a procedure on Wednesday April 26th after waiting three weeks from a follow up visit for a previous issue. Note, I have dental insurance and had given his staff my group # and iD for previous services but had not received a new card. This is my very first yelp review and rather than tell my side of the story, I'll just share the text exchange I had with his office staff

I've been going here for about 6 years for my regular teeth cleanings. Every time I go for an appt. Dr. Platt and all of his staff here are always so friendly and helpful. I truly am grateful to have found a great dentist here in Reno. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a thorough dentistry.

My husband and I have been going to Dr Platt for over 20 years. We heard about him through a coworker and have since referred many of our friends to him. Every one of them has been as happy as we are with the office. The great experience starts with the two women in the front office, who are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hygienists and Dr. Platt are thorough and the dental care is first-rate. Everyone in the office makes a point of explaining what they will be doing and why. It is a wonderful office to visit for your dental needs and seems like a great place to work as well.

Dr, Platt is by far the best dentist in Reno. He is very personable and informative about the procedure he is about to perform. The whole office makes you feel very comfortable knowing Dr. Platt is using the newest equipment and modern procedures! My cavity filling was painless. By far Highly recommended!

It's been 4 years since my last dental exam - (gulp), so I was a bit nervous about what Dr. Platt was going to find in there! The whole experience was very easy and comforting! The office staff is helpful and friendly and Dr. Platt is approachable and explains everything simply. Luckily, all I need is a cleaning!
