Full Spectrum Psychiatry
Website
I founded Full Spectrum Psychiatry to improve the quality and continuity of mental health treatment for individuals with developmental disorders. Historically seen as childhood disorders, ADHD and Autism are increasingly understood to persist throughout adulthood. Many psychiatrists specializing in developmental disorders continue to focus exclusively on children.

At the same time, a large portion of adult psychiatrists lack specialized training or feel uncomfortable treating developmental disorders. This often means that young adults who "age out" of the child system are, at best, forced to change providers or, at worst, lose access to necessary medications and therapies.
Services
We offer specialized treatment for the entire range of mental health conditions including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, mood/ bipolar disorders, OCD, post traumatic stress disorder, grief/bereavement, ADHD, ASD, gender dysphoria, somatic symptom disorders, psychotic disorders, and behavioral disturbances.
Full Spectrum Psychiatry is generally a direct-care, fee for service practice. For special populations (patients with ASD, ADHD, OCD) we accept UPMC, Aetna, and CCBH (Allegheny County Medicaid) Insurance. Dr. Borue is not able to see any patients with primary or secondary Medicare plans.

Over the last century, health-care administration has grown into a complex bureaucracy that frequently poses roadblocks to instead of facilitating effective psychiatric treatment.Physicians are frequently pressured into seeing 4 patients per hour, which amounts to less than 10 minutes of face to face time with patients.
Your first appointment is taken very seriously as ample time is set aside to get to know you, answer questions and discuss treatment options. If you no-show for that first appointment, you have taken time that may have been used to provide care for other patients and will not be able to reschedule - you will need to find care at another psychiatric practice.
