Dr. Ermshar is a clinical psychologist with over 18 years of post-licensed experience conducting psychotherapy and assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. She has added specialization in neuropsychology, psycholegal/forensic consultations and assessment, and clinical/diagnostic psychological assessment and evaluation, having completed hundreds of assessments of clients during her practice.
D., MSCP, ABPP is a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY 18549) and Oklahoma (PSY 1326), with specialization in neuropsychology and forensic psychology. Dr. Ermshar received her doctorate in clinical psychology at Loma Linda University, an American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Doctoral Training Program in Clinical Psychology.
An empirically validated treatment, cognitive retraining and rehabilitation improves both cognitive and adaptive functioning for individuals with brain injury or cognitive impairments resulting from psychiatric illness, ADHD, Dementia, Stroke, and other neurological disorders. At Dr. Ermshar & Associates, we provide specific skills training and metacognitive strategies to help individuals increase problem-solving skills and self monitoring.
Dr. Ermshar & Associates has expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues that can impact an individual's legal proceedings. We evaluate a wide range of psycholegal issues including; competency to stand trial, dangerousness, and diminished responsibility, such as the insanity defense.
Las Encinas Hospital is a private psychiatric hospital where Dr. Ermshar is on the medical executive committee and medical staff. In providing continuity of care, Dr. Ermshar can provide comprehensive services, such as psychodiagnostic assessment, neurocognitive assessment, psychotherapy, and consultation regarding psycholegal concerns.
