The Farm At Green Heron Pond is currently booking overnight stays in the Cottage and private events on the grounds. First opened to the public in 2016, this amazing property includes a one-acre, spring-fed pond, covered pavilion, fields of wildflowers, and farm and mountain views. It is the perfect place for you to enjoy a day in the mountains.

Situated on 50 acres of rolling pastures and woods with an onsite 1 acre pond & mountain views, the Cottage At Green Heron Pond offers a serene and private setting for guests, yet is only a short drive to downtown Asheville and the popular West Asheville neighborhood.
The Farm at Green Heron Pond is a unique space to hold large and small events. Set on 50 acres of rolling fields surrounded by woods and mountains, with a one acre fresh water stocked pond, it offers many possibilities for gathering. From its pavilion to its groomed event lawn, to its coves, fields, hiking paths, pond and pier, you will find what you are looking for.

As a local event organizer, I have scoured the area for suitable venues. FGHP offers an unparalleled combination of nestled nooks and expansive fields, privacy and epic views, swimmable pond, flat camping, on-site sleeping accommodations for key staff, water and power, plenty of parking... overall an ideal venue at a reasonable cost. And Bob & Amy are truly a joy to work with. I look forward to my next event at FGHP!

Some decades ago, on a less-than-perfect, hot, sticky, and rainy summer day we managed to formalize our relationship with just a small contingent of witnesses. Ever since, we had wanted to improve on that day. So, we were looking for an ideal setting for our anniversary celebration. As soon as we saw it, we knew The Farm at Green Heron Pond was the ideal location. We enjoyed a warm summer day in the mountains, refreshed by a lovely breeze. There was ample space for our guests to play lawn games, stroll around the pond, have a drink, view a slide show, converse, listen to music and then have dinner

We had our annual staff party there which includes employees' families. This venue is so beautiful and perfect for any occasion. Set in the mountains, you feel transported far outside of any urban area, yet it is still so close to Asheville! We were able to fish and swim in the lake. The venue hosts are so gracious and easy to work with. I couldn't recommend this place more!

If you are looking for tranquil beauty for your special day, look no further. The Farm at Green Heron Pond boasts acres and acres of natural beauty starting with the oversized picturesque pond, complete with a large dock for a perfect ceremony site.
