I was excited to try them with all the stellar reviews. I personally had a really awkward experience with the service. I had tried to call in an order to pick it up well before they closed but nobody answered. I got to the shop around 735-740 before they closed at 8. I walked in to a slippery floor and chairs put up (I was in service industry for several years in my early days so I get it). I asked the girl if it was still ok to place a Togo order so I did. I asked a question only to feel silly asking it. I could tell that she did not want to be there, maybe she had a bad day. Right as I left at

Found these folks in a trailer at The Picnic trailer park on Barton Springs while on an Austin Mini Bike Gang Tour a while back when some friends were in town visiting from Virginia. I thought then it was the best Philly I had had since Hog Island Deli closed. Next time I went back they were gone from the park. Today I discovered they have a store on Burnet in Allandale, and rushed over to try another sammie.

I had the "Drago" (lots of Rocky-themed names on the menu) and it featured tasty steak, grilled onions, & 3 kinds of cheese, (if you count "Whiz" as cheese) Whiz

Solid Philly chez, delivers well. Soft fresh bread. Chicken steak or regular, can't go wrong here.

I've had philly cheesesteaks at multiple places in Austin and this was the best one I have had by far. I have never been to Philly so I can't speak on it being authentic but I will be back for more. I also wanted to eat it as soon as it came out because it looked so good and it was piping hot. Not going to lie I burned my tongue willingly to eat it immediately. I regret nothing. The only downfall was not enough cheese. I feel like being called a philly cheesesteak it needs more cheese. The garlic parm fries are the bees knees. I love garlic parm fries and these were so delicious, crispy

I love Philly cheesesteaks and decided to try this place out via food delivery. I liked the variety of options and choose the sandwich with jalapeños and hot sauce. It was delicious and had a good flavor. I think the concept of cheese whiz on phillys are interesting, but I think I prefer regular cheese slices. Also, the bread was pretty soggy from the grease, wish it was a little more crispy. But overall very good and the garlic parm fries were tasty!

Growing up in the Northeast I've eaten my fair share of Philly Cheesesteaks so always on the lookout for a Decent Philly Cheesesteak in Austin. I've given up looking for anything comparable because I haven't found one. Tried this place out today and it was one of the worst Philly cheesesteaks I ever had. I'm giving this 2 stars because the folks behind the counter were friendly and the service was good and because one of the reasons I did not enjoy may be a personal preference that I do NOT like having a sandwich of any type have butter on it. My sandwich came toasted with

Visiting my son in Austin and gave this place a try. My local philly steak joint in San Jose (Amato's) has a high bar. My sammie was good, hot messy and the roll was perfect. A bit light with the meat and I paid a buck more for peppers and there were a few, maybe that is why less meat? Not sure about the cheese whiz and why the 4 instead of 5 stars. It was a lot and took away from the meat flavor and this place uses high quality meats, so a bit disappointed. Gotta say that reading the reviews, I'm impressed with the owner reading and being genuine about the reviews. It is obvious

The worst Philly cheesesteak. Mystery meat that seemed microwaved instead of grilled. Maybe his gas had been cut and he didn't have a working grill. I waited a month considering this review. I don't eat at subway.

The best philly cheesesteaks in Austin. My wife and I go there on a semi- regular basis and it's always amazing customer service and exceptional food.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I think I realize that I probably like non authentic Philly cheesesteaks more than the super traditional ones. The cheese wiz masked the flavor of the beef and there wasn't that much beef to begin with. But all in all, the sandwich was large, it was hot, and it was filling. Tots were good as well although a bit pricey for what they are.

This place is amazing. The only problem is it's too hard to choose which sandwich to get. I suggest getting your order to go and watching it's always sunny in Philadelphia while you eat it.

Numerous tasty offerings of both Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies. So many I wanted to try so I'll be back! Also have loaded tots on the menu I want to check out too.

Extremely disappointed in this place. My husband and I was super excited to try it too. Unfortunately it didn't turn out so good. My sub was $13 and for such an expensive sandwich it was small and missing stuff I added to it that I paid extra for. My husband's cheese steak had sooo much cheese whiz on it you couldn't even taste the meat. It was overkill and the sandwich was extremely soggy. Made him and I both gag. Well looks like another one bites the dust. We won't be back. Oh also the prosciutto had a foul odor to it. Not sure if it's as supposed to be that way or not

I really wanted to like this place. The menu reads great. Although I'm not from Philly, I do love a good cheesesteak.

So, tonight, I decided to drop in around 6 PM to try a sandwich. The first thing I noticed was that there was no air conditioning on in the restaurant. Also, I noticed the drink options were pretty much limited to canned and bottled drinks.

Still, I was willing to give them a try. I decided to order the Marciano pizza steak sandwich without peppers and onions, but adding mushrooms. The guy behind the counter (who said he'd only been there three days) had trouble

Let us begin. If you are ever in Austin and want to have a great Philly cheese steak and relax a little, then here you go. It is a food trailer on 6th street where they are gentrifying east of hwy 35. It is good. Been here several times, never disappointing. Good, bad food for foodies looking to get a little messy. Love it! The Paulie is delicious. Everything is Rocky inspired in name.

Best cheesesteak you'll find in Austin. My only complaint though was the time it took to get our food. It was 30+ minutes from ordering to getting our food and there was not a line of people waiting in front of us, just one or two. There was only one employee working at the time so that could have explained the wait.

This is one of the best cheese steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating!! Coming from NY, it's hard to find a good sammich here in Texas. This place kicked it up to 11!!
The steak was cooked just right. The wiz, peppers and onions didn't steal the show, there was just enough of them to keep wanting that next bite. The roll was perfect!! Soft, not chewy, just right.
I'll be back!!

Delicious Philly cheese steak sandwiches like I've never had before! This is certain to ruin all the other spots I've been to so far. I had to deduct one star just because I also rate the service, and I would've liked to see a little more friendliness. Otherwise, great stuff!

Do Not Eat Here... Or you will CRAVE these Philly Cheesesteaks. Hands down delicious. I have had the real deal in Philadelphia, and these coming out of Austin are some of the best I have ever tasted! I started with the Balboa, then the Drago and today had the Thunderlips. Can't even tell you my favorite because they have all been so good. Has not disappointed me. Thank goodness for this little gem in Austin.

Very very good cheesesteaks. Sometimes you may drop by and they'll be closed without any type of warning. Outside of that I have yet to be unhappy with anything I've had here.

Best cheesesteak I've had in Austin. The meat is good and well cooked and the bread is fresh and soft. I've had a few different types of cheesesteaks here, and the one with pepperoni is my favorite. As usual with a cheesesteak it's better to eat it there rather than having one delivered via Favor.

Same truck, new location, and all of the same great food here. The Authentic in their name is earned as they're the best Philadelphia style cheese steak you can get here in Austin. They have some creative topping options but why go for those when you can have the classic peppers and onions and Cheese Whiz on your Amoroso's roll? And this place continues to get even better with multiple ways to order ahead available like EAT24.

This is my second time here. I live on the complete opposite side of town. But, if you were looking for a traditional Philly cheesesteak... This is your place!
The roll is amazing! The steak is tender and seasoned just right. I ordered the Paulie today.
I prefer to get it with provolone instead of cheese whiz.
Anyway, I highly recommend this delicious golden nugget on the east side of I 35
