We exist because we love this community. This is our home. It's in our blood. This practice has been passed down within the generations of our family. And through the years, we have built upon a core belief: to care for the people of this community like we would any member of our family. You can see it in the little things, like our attention to detail, our longer appointment times, and the way we greet you.
You can see it in the big things, like the level of medicine we practice, our philosophy, and a belief in making a difference in your life. But mostly, you can feel it, at every step, in every interaction. Because we love this community. After all, our family built it for you. This is a special team with a special approach.

This is Our Calling We listen. We love. We care. Every single day, we come in to work to make a difference in your life. And while our skillsets are diverse, our promise is simple: we'll treat your pet like our own. To us, this isn't a job. This is a team of passionate animal lovers who just happen to be exceptionally talented veterinarians, leaders, technicians, and caregivers.
Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package and specialized blood tests for all life stages. We perform risk assessments for each pet to help you decide which protocols your pet needs for optimum protection against disease and illness.
Dentistry and oral care for our pets is one of the fastest growing areas of pet health care. Why? Because pets, like people, benefit from regular dental check-ups and cleanings. We are becoming increasingly aware of the number of serious health risks and diseases that can develop as a direct consequence of untreated dental disease.
When surgery is required, we strive to make our patients as comfortable as possible and keep families informed throughout the procedure. This continuity of care begins during the pre-surgical visit and carries through to your pet's dismissal and aftercare. Cryosurgery is a great alternative to standard surgery for the removal of dermal (skin) masses that do not require biopsy.
Imagery and bloodwork are great ways to look or see beyond the physical exam findings and integrate the diagnostics performed on your pet. We us digital radiography, ultrasound and our in-house laboratory to create a more well-rounded picture of your pet to help diagnose the problem since they can't tell us "it hurts here!"

I went for a follow up to an emergency visit and was extremely pleased in the care my pet received. Everyone was kind, empathetic, and took the time to explain each procedure. Prices were given up front so there were no surprises. I will definitely continue to use them for our pets and can’t recommend them enough.

Truly awesome care my Zsa Zsa got during her spaying. Knew exactly what was going to happen to her and when. Everything was explained and afterwards the care instructions helped her to heal. I can’t forget to mention the staff is very kind and attentive. The care she received was nothing short of top notch!

I was visiting a family member and was far away from my own vet when my puppy showed signs of a very bad UTI. I was stressed and nervous and the staff and doctors at Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital made me want to move here in order to beep them as our primary vet. They took their time to ensure they had my dogs complete history and fully examined her. They also thoroughly explained what was going on with her and the best next steps even what I should do when I go to the next vet when we leave. A million out of 10 experience and cannot recommend enough!

We were so pleased with Dr. Andrew Eppelsheimer and the team at Mt. Pleasant Animal Hospital! Our three year old lab (who has a tendency to eat everything in sight) had been vomiting for upwards of a week when we contacted Dr. Epp. He made room for Goose that same morning and allowed me to drop her off early on my way to work (with COVID safety protocols in place). He was extremely friendly, communicative, and honest about our options - prioritizing our pup's health, while keeping cost in mind. He suggested we start with a "plan A" and move on to the more invasive & costly options if it didn't

For check ups or special care needs, our 3 dogs all receive excellent attention. Dr. Eppelsheimer and his staff always give us the answers and care we need as well as ask us the important questions we need to consider for our pets. Great staff and doing an excellent job during the pandemic!
