Samaritan Ministries Intl
Members are Christians committed to honoring Christ, serving one another through health care. Learn about membership requirements. Send your monthly share to other members and when you have a need, other members will be directed to send their shares to you. Pray for one another and send notes of encouragement.

We are not insurance. You have the freedom to choose the health care provider that works best for you, and the freedom to join anytime. Medical bills are sent to Samaritan Ministries, and we notify members to pray and send money for your shareable bills. The money received is used to pay your medical bills and you enjoy encouraging messages from other members.
Services
Samaritan Ministries is a Biblical solution to health care. It is not insurance. We deliver authentic, compassionate, and personal service in the name of Christ to enable and inspire members to provide for one another's medical needs through prayer, encouragement, and financial support.

To glorify God by growing and equipping disciples of Jesus Christ to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love and care for their neighbor as themselves. To redeem health care by helping the Body of Christ love one another through sharing each other's health care burdens while experiencing authentic Biblical community.
A hands-on approach to health care. Choose your doctor, submit your bills, and fellow members will be directed to send financial gifts and pray. A Two-person membership, or its equivalent, is required for maternity sharing. The maximum that can be shared for a maternity need is $250,000, unless the member is enrolled in Save to Share.
As a Samaritan member, there are no network restrictions. When medical care is needed, you choose the health care provider, hospital, and pharmacy that works best for you. Members of health care sharing ministries, like Samaritan Ministries, are exempt from the federal Affordable Care Act and California, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Rhode Island's Individual mandate.
Given Beta has reached capacity as thousands of members across the nation share one another's medical needs and provide us with valuable insight while we continue to refine the program and enhance member experience. Please let us know if you'd like to receive ministry updates and be among the first to know when Given reopens.
Founder Ted Pittenger responds to God's call and starts Samaritan Ministries International. Ten households start sharing medical needs. The ministry passes its first real financial test as members share a $10,000 medical need. The need is met in full. As membership reaches 10,000 households and the number of employees increase, the need for a larger space was apparent, leading to the purchase of a building in Peoria, Illinois.

The deductible for their classic is $300 per sickness, and costs over $225 a month. That is too much fornme so I signed up for Given, $185 a month, with $5k deductible PLUS an additional monthly amount. Rip off.

We have had this coverage for about 4 years and couldn't be happier. Every time we have had a need, it was quickly met by other members. Even if given the opportunity to join regular insurance, I would choose Samaritan.
