What a hidden gem - who would've thought that we would prefer mall food over other restaurants?
I always get the black bean hummus avocado wrap, which is filling and makes you forget it's vegetarian.
Their crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e cheesecake slice is also better than cheesecakes I've had anywhere else; dense, and not too sweet.

A colleague and I decided to come here for a quick lunch on a weekday afternoon. It did get busy here, lots of customers coming in for lunch, maybe during their lunch break or simply during their shopping spree at the mall. After all, it is located inside the West Covina mall. The cafe itself is tiny with a few small tables to dine. There are also a couple tables outside for outdoor seating. Ordering and getting our food took a bit longer than I'd like, but I get it, they were super backed up. The demand for this place is high and I see why!

I just love stumbling on a hidden gem. You just HAVE to come here! The variety, freshness and quaintness of this cafe makes you feel like you are away from home enjoying an adventure. We had the Turkey, bacon and avocado wrap. The outer wrap war warmed with a cool, fresh Turkey inside. What a delightful combination. For dessert we tried two different items. The carrot cake is a slice of heaven - incredibly moist and packed with flavor. The banana creme pie was delightful on a shortbread crust with chocolate chips inside. Absolutely amazing!!! I can hardly wait to come back.

This establishment has great drinks (coffee ,smoothies, tea), great food and treats. My usual order in the morning is a iced caramel macchiato and a avocado breakfast sandwich and today I tried their CA avocado omelette. Let me tell you that I am typically a picky eater and I dont like trying new things. I enjoyed having this omelette! It was not dry and very flavorful. The staff here is always so nice and I come here more and more for the overall amazing food and staff. Check this place out if you get the chance.

They actually have plenty of places to sit not only inside but outside too. Well inside might get a little crowded with how busy they get but it's still really good. I'm so happy that I gave this place a try. I was in the area and happened to crave some coffee.
Food: Turkey Spinach Avocado Sandwich 4/5
I was just looking for a sandwich that seemed non-dairy so I chose this. Outside was crispy and content was filled with fresh ingredients. I think if it had a bit more garlic mayo, it would've tasted better. It was a little bland but delicious regardless.

This cafƩ is located in Plaza West Covina. The times we have been here, it always busy. They sell paninis, wraps, deli sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, fresh salad, combos, pizzas, fitness plates & bowls, coffee and tea.

*Garlic Sirloin Steak Panini - This is only served full size. It has sirloin steak, tomato, bacon, sundried tomato sauce, garlic mayo, onions, cheese and garlic spread. It was flavorful and delicious!

This place has nothing on Porto's Bakery. I was starving and didn't want to wait in the long lines at Porto's. Discovered Cafe Valer and was impressed. We ordered a creme brule cheesecake, chipotle avocado chicken panini, california wrap, afe latte and a turkey wrap. Everything was delicious. We had a mishap with our order and they went above and beyond to fix it!!!! Will definitely come back.

Amazing chicken black beans avocado with lettuce warp 5/5, very soft and juice but in a perfection way that it did not get messy at all. Very light chess the way I like it.
Highly recommend this cafe, the cafe was a bit busy compared to the flow of the mall, wish there are more seatings in the area.

Cafe Valer is a true little gem in the West Covina mall. I've always seen this place in passing for many years and decided to try it. The food here is absolutely delicious and affordable. In the past I've ordered their Chicken Pesto, Turkey Hummus Pesto Sandwich, and their Hummus wrap. All their food is made fresh to order and in a quick timely manner. I suggest calling in your order as they seem to be always busy which is a great sign!

I don't know why I've been sleeping on reviewing this place because I come here at least once a week with my boyfriend and siblings. My go-to item is the chipotle avocado panini, but the chipotle chicken wrap & the California Chicken panini are great too. The employees here are always very friendly and helpful. I usually call my orders in for take out even though indoor seating is available now. Ordered a Turkey bacon wrap and a spicy Caesar wrap.
Took some time to get the food as there were a lot of customers ordering as well as phone orders.
Food was delicious. My personal favorite was the Turkey bacon wrap. The sauce was a little too creamy and more than needed, but helped with the more drier Turkey. The Caesar wrap sauce was pretty spicy and the Parmesan cheese was not bad. But the cheese in the Caesar wrap was a bit much for me.

Great paninis, amazing coffee. I've been coming here for a couple years and every time I do the food tastes great and the coffee is fresh. They've been open through the pandemic for to-go orders, and they currently have tables outside for patio seating (though it is limited). This cafe is always busy for good reason and I would highly recommend to anyone in the area.It is located right next to the mall entrance, by the parking structure, so if you are wary of being indoors you can always enter through their patio door.

I'm back again! (: Today's order was the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Signature Full Panini for $8.95. It had lots of fresh strips of chicken breast, black beans, roasted peppers, avocado, chipotle sauce, buffalo sauce, and pepper jack cheese. I also tasted like a limey topping. I ordered the Keto bowl which comes with steak, lettuce, avocado, eggs, hummus and tomato slices. I ordered it without the hummus. They gave me exactly what I ordered and in great portions!!!! The price was so reasonable and my food was full of flavor.
My hubs got the breakfast burrito with no meat. It was huge. He said he enjoyed it and gave it a 4/5.
We both devoured the blueberry muffin which was so moist and full of blueberries. We also loved the macaroons! They were also fresh, moist, and delicious.

I really like Cafe Valer. The panini I ate was really good. I also like their coffee and cheesecake. I'm a Seattle native and I like my Starbucks, but this place has the upper hand. My iced caramel latte tastes better here and Starbucks doesn't offer Cheesecake. To the owner...if you haven't opened more Cafe Valers, you should consider expanding.

I found this little hidden gem when I was just looking for some coffee! And I love the fact that they were so warm & welcoming! After a couple visits, I was hooked! You can't go wrong with a cafe that has everything that's made fresh to order! I would highly suggest getting the cookies because they're baked first thing in the morning! And since my diet is extremely strict & they were so friendly & patient to all my questions/ request. The coffee is delicious! Tastes freshly brewed every time!
