I thought I would stick around Sharon Heights and try this deli on lunch hour.
Got two sandwiches, a roast beef and onion panini and a turkey.
The panini was pretty good with lots of flavor.
The turkey...tasted old. There's no other way to say it. The bread? So old and chewy reminds me of trying to chew a bagel. The turkey tasted ok but not super fresh either. It was really unappetizing.
Also , I know there are staffing shortages right now but I didn't enjoy waiting nearly 20 minutes for my sandwiches :O
Skip it.

There is this lady who works here , her name is ‘D’ , she was horrible . I had taken a falafel salad and the dressing taster stale and it had gone bad . I went back for different dressing , she was the most rude person I have ever encountered and she said “ this is how we make out r sauce for falafel wraps and she literally almost threw the other dressing on my face “ . Got the Italian Sub on Sourdough. They lathered the bread in oil and vinegar. Yay, soggy sandwich. The oil and vinegar also overpowered the taste of the sandwich. They also put artichoke on my Italian Sub. I've never known a Italian sandwich to have artichoke on it. Definitely not impressed by my sandwich. Go to a different deli people.

I have never been so pleased with a sandwich before. Satisfied in all aspects.. Bread, meats, veggies, condiments. Everything was creatively assembled and super tasty!
They took my order over the phone and were very polite.
Two sandwiches were made and ready for pick up within 10 minuets during lunch time on a Friday..
I was impressed!
Recommend the Turkey, but I heard the Tri-Tip is incredible..

SO this small little sandwich shop in Sharon Heights is a rare go to as they usually are closed when we wander by and we have to be heading in that direction. As luck would have it, we were able to make an appearance.
Its a large deli but that's mostly counter space and coolers. The staff was friendly and them made the sandwiches in a timely fashion. It has the usual suspects you would expect like chips, cookies, and the like.
So why the three stars? Well It was going to be 3.5 and I usually round up but there was an issue with the order and the bread was not the freshest. I will explain

Although the food was good they overcharged and we're not clear on what they were charging. They do not let you know that you pay for every item on the sandwich. And because I ordered the gluten-free option my sandwich was not as large as a regular sandwich and it cost more because I had to pay for the cheese that I didn't expect cheese on my sandwich but they asked me if I wanted cheese and I thought the cheese came with the meal will know they charge for the cheese a whole dollar. A whole dollar fifty for one slice of cheese if you want a big sandwich with lots of produce on it go to Togo's

Let's be honest, Silicon Valley is super spendy for everything so it seems but this places takes the cake!
Went in and ordered a simple (and I mean insanely basic) sandwich on a dutch crunch roll, sliced avocado, a slice of ham, slice of turkey and once slice of cheddar. That's it.
I was flabbergasted the total surpassed $13 for this measly lunch. Worse yet, the bread was completely STALE, avocado brown, and turkey without any flavor. The cheddar had hardened as well. Like seriously?
I would the hot bar so disgusting to look at as well and totally unappetizing and nasty! The shelves

Very, very expensive for a veggie sandwich. $7.95 for minimal toppings:
1 leaf of lettuce, 1 slice of pickle and 4 rings of onion. The thin spread of mayo and mustard didn't help the dry bread very much.
.50 cents extra for 4 slices of cucumber and $1.50 for a few artichoke hearts.
Ridiculous. Triple or quadruple the veggies and have fresh bread and the price would be more understandable.
It felt like their protocol is to give the minimum. The gal who helped me was very nice, the manager or owner seemed annoyed I was there.. he made the sandwich. Given the prices I would think the interior

Very good customer service. In my new position I am exploring delis near my work for the purpose of catering meetings and I received timely and very good customer service from, who I later found out, was the owner. Ordered the New York steak sandwich. I wanted the rib eye but unfortunately they didn't have that available at the time. The sandwich was tasty but then I am a huge fan of caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms, which it had. Their potato salad was pretty decent but I wasn't crazy about some of the very large pieces of potato. What I did like was that it had mustard, which I find balances

I was helping out someone who lived nearby move and they offered to treat me to lunch!
I remember visiting this location a very long time ago and boy have things changed. This is more of a sandwich shop and catering location. I remember when it was stocked with shelves of exotic import items but alas no more.
I ordered the dark turkey with everything on it and a drink and my friend had the roast beef sandwich. They give you a tag and the lady behind the counter treated us like we were going to run off with the sandwiches. Maybe because we were dressed down to move furniture.

Catering Review: AVOID THIS BUSINESS AND "DEE"
We used them as a caterer for our wedding and paid $$,$$$ for theor service. YES. 5 DIGITS. AND THEY DIDNT CLEAN UP. THEY TRASHED OUR VENUE AND MY GOOD FRIENDS HAD TO MOP THE FLOORS AND CLEAN UP THEIR DISHES/TABLES/LINENS. I literally almost lost my mind that night. It was 1AM and Dee came back to give us back our tip which is nothing compared to the full amount me paid and she had the nerve to smirk when I told her that she should be the one mopping the floor.
If I had the time and energy- I would've sued her. Had no idea about the

I've been here many times due to its convenient location and partnership with SLAC (employees used to get double stamps--apparently not anymore though).
The roast beef panini is my go-to order; it has a good crispy texture and I love the caramelized onions. However, as other reviewers stated, they frequently get the order wrong, are out of ingredients (especially bread), take a long time, and aren't very friendly. Somehow my visit always feels awkward. Their vegetable add-ons are limited to lettuce and tomato basically, and the tomatoes aren't very flavorful. The price has gone

My coworkers always come here for lunch as it's right off Sand Hill, meaning I have to come here frequently. There's a limited menu and you don't get very much compared to what you're paying ($9-18).
My favorite item to order is probably the quattro formaggio - which is just a ton of cheese between two buns. It's alright though the cheese definitely congeals after just a few minutes which is kind of gross. I wouldn't recommend any sandwich with balsamic vinegrette as they put too much on, even when you ask for light vinegrette.
I'm not sure why so many people

Found 3 nails (luckily human, not metal) in the chicken barley soup that I had bought for lunch. Pretty appalling behavior from the lady whom I spoke with on the phone to complain that their soup had nails in it
- kept insisting that I was wrong and they weren't nails. Well ma'am, someone who is 30+ years old knows what a human nail looks like!
- when I mentioned that I'll be posting this online, she asked me what I wanted. Just to say it again ma'am if you are reading - I don't want other customers to encounter a health hazard when they are having a simple lunch

Stopped by here before the Oregon v Stanford Game!
Heard about this place while wondering through Safeway in the same plaza. Initially I was looking to go the deli at the Safeway but I came to find out that this particular Safeway DOES NOT HAVE A DELI!! That is just strange, peculiar, and odd!! In coming to this realization I asked a customer in the store if there were any sandwich shops near by and they suggested Eric's.
This place was located just down the way from the Safeway which was nice.
Once inside you can see the menus laid out at the register. I looked it over for a few minutes
