Classic quiet gem. Simple lakeside motel rooms (some with kitchens) and cabins immaculately refreshed and maintained with warm hospitality by daughters of the founders. Visited mid October. Loved morning coffee on the dock overlooking Mirror Lake and exploring it with complementary rowboat and paddleboat.

We had a wonderful time. Just my friend and I getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Sally and Becky (the owners) were friendly and accommadating. Our vacation started off with two days of rain and wind from a storm, then the weather warmed right up and it was time for swimming. The water was wonderful! Clean and warm. You can feel the cold spots where the water is coming from the springs. There's a larger dock furnished with beach chairs, a paddle boat, noodles for the water, and life jackets. Each cabin has it's own dock with a row boat and an enclosed porch furnished with

My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, but in the era of COVID, it had to check a few specific boxes: be within driving distance, away from other people, but somewhere appealing. And I wanted a lovely view, of mountains or a lake. We found Pow Wow Lodges fit the bill.
With just four cottages and four motel rooms nestled in the pine trees on the shore of Mirror Lake, it is secluded and quiet. Our cottage was charming and rustic, perfect for a summer getaway. The screened front porch had a view of the lake through the trees, with our private dock and

My first summer vacation to New Hampshire took place in my second year. Forty-six years later, I've never missed a summer.
To say I'm an enthusiast of the Lakes Region would be putting it mildly. I'm mad for it. From Winnipesaukee to Wentworth, from Mirror to Winnisquam, from Waukewan to Squam, I've stayed at camps and rented cottages on all. And with each visit I've fallen more irrevocably in love with New Hampshire.
So it always surprises me, after four decades of visits, to find something (or somewhere!) new. And should that new place prove to touch my heart as other

We stayed this weekend and were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Lots of personal touches and little amenities make the cabins feel like home. And we loved spending time at a family-run resort that has been in the family for generations. Serene and cozy, we left much more relaxed and rested than we arrived. Thank you for a blissful spring weekend away!

The PowWow Lodges was a great find! Small enough to feel the personal touch of two owners who have a history of the place. They are continuing the friendliness that their parents established so many years ago. We stayed in the larger motel unit and it was warmly decorated with all you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful Mirror Lake is small and easy to get around if you use
The canoes, kayaks or peddle boat.
Wolfeboro is just down the road with good restaurants and shopping.
Glad we spent our weekend here.
