It was nice to return to Tanglewood cottages. I stayed there as a child and had the best vacations every summer. So as an adult, I really wanted to see what it was like to stay there all grown up. I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much work has been done on the cottages and is continuing. The cottages are very clean and neat, with all the comforts of home.
Open room format. This cottage has a screened-in-porch with 2 sitting chairs. The inside is 1 room. You have on the left a queen bed and on the right a day bed with a twin trundle bed under it. The end of queen bed has a dresser and a color cable TV. At the back of the cottage is the kitchenette. You have a sink, free standing stove, full size fridge and kitchen table.
This is our year round cottage. Screened-in-porch. Then main room has a kitchen table, full size sleep sofa, full size bed, dresser and color cable TV. There is a small kitchenette with a sink, free standing stove and 2 cabinets. There is a shelf that holds your micro wave. Across from that is your full size fridge.

Actually it was a great long weekend for a family of 27. We monopolized the entire place so it was fabulous in that respect. I'd like so say a five for some reasons but a three for other reasons. The pros....the host Laura was so helpful and wonderful and accommodating especially so for such a large family gathering. We gathered literally at the fire pit in back of her home on the little pond and we're worried about disturbing her. She was so gracious and kept saying we were fine. Plenty of spaces for little ones to enjoy as well as plenty for 2 corn hole sets and horse shoes...tether ball...and

My family had a great experience here. The grounds are beautiful with a small river to swim in with our son, places to have campfires, and nice screened in porches to sit out and relax in at night. We loved that we could bring the dog, and this place is located central to many places to explore in the area. We stayed in cottage 10 and loved it. Chris and Laura were super accommodating and we can't wait to go back and visit.

After a horrible experience at Econo Lodge, my friends and I were desperate to find a place to stay for the night at 9 PM. We called Tanglewood and they said they would keep their office open just so we could check in and have somewhere safe to stay. Laura set up our room and put the fan on even though they were planning on closing for the night. We were greeted warmly, and were even given board games to play. We are forever grateful for Tanglewood and its hospitality. The room was fantastic and so was our sleep. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed in a Tanglewood cottage for three days at the end of June, and I wish my stay had been longer. This property is both pretty and calming. I only did a few touristy things while there. The rest of the time I was content to walk the property and take pictures or sit by the stream listening to the water and birds. Somestimes it's nice to do absolutely nothing.
The cottage was exactly as described on their website, no surprises/disappointments. It was very clean and had great cross-ventilation which kept the cottage cool. The kitchen was at the back of the cottage and its arrangement

Stayed in cabin 10 and thought it was beautiful. Great cabin didn't see many bugs (which always makes me happy) nice kitchen and bathroom beds were comfy. Screened in porch was lovely and the river behind was a huge plus. Firepit picnic tables and grill as well. Owners are SO friendly (let me borrow vanilla when I was making cookies!) and they're pet friendly! Had a great time. Only small downfall is how close they are to the road.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tanglewood. I was pleasantly surprised after reading mediocre reviews on other websites. My boyfriend and I went there just for the night, unfortunately. We wish we didn't have to leave. We were able to bring our dog, the owners were very welcoming and accommodating, not only to us but to our dog as well! We stayed in Cottage 11. It was all we needed for the 3 of us, actually more than we needed. It had a full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom which had a queen and full sized bed. The screened in porch also gave us a lot of extra space. We had our own firepit and

A week after my wife and i went up to Vermont we though that it would be great to go to New Hampshire. We Made a quick decision and choose the The Tanglewood Motel & Cottages. The motel is also pet friendly which makes it even better. When we arrive i will be honest, i though the place looked a little run down( My wife was a little disappointed.
