I'm Dr. H. Elaine Cheong and I have been practicing general dentistry for over 20 years. I began practicing in Seoul, South Korea after graduating from Seoul National University with my dental degree. After moving to the U.S., I completed a dental degree at Loma Linda University in California and practiced general dentistry in Jefferson City for 6 years.
We believe that preventative measures are the best way to maintain healthy smiles. In addition to keeping up with good oral hygiene habits at home by brushing and flossing well everyday, a routine checkup every 6 months is very important to keep your oral health in good condition.
You can talk with our hygienists or Dr. Cheong about any oral health concerns you may have, like toothaches, halitosis (bad breath), and sensitive teeth during your appointment.We use special instruments and a toothpaste-like substance to remove plaque (a soft and sticky material composed of bacteria that accumulates on teeth) and tartar (hardened plaque) build-up.

While our priority is making healthy smiles, we are also committed to creating beautiful smiles for our patients. Dr. Cheong will meet with you to assess your teeth, discuss your options and recommend a treatment plan. Once you decide to have your teeth whitened, your custom trays will be fabricated from the impression models.

Dr. Cheong is a gentle and compassionate dentist! When my former dentist was lessening his practice towards retirement, she hired some of his staff who love working with her. When assisting staff are openly happy, you know you’re in a great place. In addition, I requested some cosmetic work. Dr. Cheong’s attention to detail gave me beautiful results. I can’t stop smiling now!

I had bad experiences as a youngster and even through the military. Up until now I feel completely comfortable going to see the dentist. Dr. Cheong and staff were compassionate, understanding, informative, professional and human!!! I wasn't just income filling a chair, I was a customer with needs and they provided!!! My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Cheong for our dental care for over 5, probably 7, years now. She is really wonderful, very knowledgeable, and she REALLY cares about her patients. The hygienists and dental assistants are all first-rate and very gentle. Crystal (at the front desk) is truly a delight and can resolve any issue with a smile, leaving the patient feeling truly cared for by every member of Dr. Cheong's staff. I'm so glad we found Dr. Cheong and so very glad that she's a preferred provider by our dental plan.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Cheong as my dentist for 16 plus years. She is not only a special person but completely professional and caring about her patients. You never have to worry about unnecessary treatment or added charges because she is never going to do more than you need or less than is necessary to make sure that you have the best care possible. I have been a patient of Dr. Cheong's for a while and wholeheartedly recommend her and her staff! They are extremely kind, patient, gentle and positive, professional and efficient, the whole office. My family has always had good experiences there, even when we have had to have serious dental work. They make the experience as easy and gentle as possible. I would recommend children especially as they make the experience very friendly for children.
