Services
Mountain Valley Chiropractic bases its care on specific, scientific chiropractic adjustments. Our goal with this care is to reduce and remove interference from your nervous system, known as subluxation. Your body has an "innate" ability to be healthy, so long as the controlling mechanism, the nervous system, is free from interference.
Since the third grade I knew I was called to be a doctor. I grew up being fascinated by the human body, wanting to learn everything I could. I would study anatomy books for fun while others in my peer group thought I was obsessed; I was and still am. I had originally anticipated attending medical school, and I did not realize that my whole conception of health, medicine and how the body truly works would be forever changed.
The procedures we use are therefore specifically selected for your spine and nervous system health. There are a couple of things that you should expect when you have your first visit. The first part of the visit will be a consultation to review your patient paperwork and to discuss your health concerns in detail.

We started seeing our family physician who referred us to an orthopedic doctor. We began routine appointments with a physical therapist.
In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.

Dr. Joe is the best!!! When I had severe back issues, that kept me from being able to work, doctors wanted to do back surgery to ‘see what they could do’ for me...Surgery was not what I wanted to do! Dr. Joe took me in immediately, took some x-rays and proceeded to correct my twisted spine and pelvis. With regular visits, adjustments and a small shoe insert, the last x-rays taken showed a corrected and normal spinal/pelvic alignment! I am so thankful to have found Dr. Joe and for his work...a much better solution than having surgery! I now do maintenance visits and am able to work 40 hours

We have used chiropractic for so many reasons, it’ll be hard to give just one reason why we love it so much. As a family of 4 we have run the gamut of reasons for seeking chiropractic care. The one that stands out the most, however, has to be a non-skeletal issue. My husband had 2 very intense gall bladder attacks. With the help of Dr. Joe, he was able to get the pain under control and did not have to go through surgery to have it removed and only missed one day of work!!! It has been well over a year since that last attack. As a very physically active family, we have used chiropractic successfully
