Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant serves up some of the best southern food you can find in the area. In fact, we were voted one of the 100 best in Central Texas by the Killeen Daily Herald in 2016, 2017 and 2018! Read on to see where else we were featured in the local media. Reality star and jazz artist Ben Tankard has visited our restaurant before and loved our food.
Here's at Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant, we have specials available daily and introduce new dishes weekly. If you don't feel like coming in to dine with us, please ask about our bulk "anytime" family meals. These orders must be placed 48 hours in advance. Savory pinto beans, encamped around scoop of buttered rice, with six pieces of fired chicken drummettes, and Carolina Cornbread.
Do you have a big event coming up? Geechie's Southern Style Restaurant can host it for you on our premises - from graduation parties, family reunion meet and greets, fundraisers, company meetings and fellowships, church fellowships, etc., we can do it all! We can also bring the party to you with our outside catering services.

Great customer service. Food was great. Food temperature was just right. Well seasoned and very tasty. It's been hard to find good home cooked soul foods that hit the taste buds just right... boys enjoyed the wings, fish, shrimp and grits; Wow truly amazing and tasty. Smothered pork chops were awesome 👌. I will definitely be back

Really nice atmosphere and music, great friendly reserved service. The food is tasty and cooked to perfection. I had the cream of mushroom smothered chicken, rice, green beans, collard greens, candied yams, Mac and cheese and corn bread with peach cobbler for dessert(the only thing I was disappointed by because it wasn't homemade) Over all worth the experience and finding this little food gem 😊

Do yourself a favor!!!!! Fried catfish, greens, Mac and cheese, and candied yams! Please and thank you! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the hours of operation. I need them to be open everyday cause I need to eat there everyday!!!!! Also, sometimes the portions are small. I still be hungry afterwards. Anyways I highly recommend this place!

I’m a big grits guy, and the shrimp and grits was a big let down. The meal was very overpriced, being that it only came with 6 baby shrimp. The grits had little flavor, but onion and every bite 😔 . I also ordered yams that were too sweet in my opinion. The Mac and cheese was pretty decent though. I will give this place another shot sometime in the future

I finally made my way in, and I was not disappointed. I am a person who will pay whatever for good food. And they will be getting my food expense mostly now when I’m having a cheat day. The food was So so good, and it was seasoned perfectly. I had the Fish and shrimp grits bowl, best tasting yams, cornbread and I took two smothered pork chops to go! The bonus was that the staff was super nice, I like to eat alone and usually when I eat alone restaurant staff kinda over do it, but they let me eat my food, but checked in when needed. I definitely will back with my ppl next go around!

We are South Carolinians who wanted good southern style food. We traveled 2 hours to make sure our taste buds were satisfied. The servers were very helpful when ask questions, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was superb. The food was seasoned, tasty and delicious; everyone enjoyed their meal and our palettes were completely satisfied. Home cooked southern food home away from home. We definitely recommend Geechie’s Southern Style Restaurant!

This Restauant was recommended to me. I am not too familiar with Southern Cooking, but this place is very popular ... they sold out of cobbler and brownies a few days ago when I was there! Good for them!
I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. It can also come as a salad embedded in a leaf of lettuce topped with tomatoes. It comes with a side of Sun Chips and grapes.
This was the largest chicken salad sandwich I have ever eaten. The serving was so generous that I had to take some of the filling off the sides! It was delicious and fresh as well!
